Questions & Answers
Yes. The majority of the Vallejo Metal Color line self-levels well and brushes beautifully without the need for thinning. The surface has a smooth, opaque finish. They apply much more smoothly than Vallejo's standard Model Color and Model Air products.
Because it's a water-based model paint, it might be able to be used with a waterproof clearcoat.
This paint is intended for use on model airplanes. It's not an ink, believe it or not. Because it's liquid, you could syringe it. I'm not sure where you'd put it.

Provides a realistic-looking shiny metallic finish that is extremely thin and simple to apply and clean up. It airbrushes right out of the bottle, though it can be thinned if desired. I'm still working on getting the best and smoothest natural metal finish out of it, as mine has come out a little rough so far, but I believe that's my fault rather than the paint's. Because metal paints show everything beneath them, I believe the issue is with the primer underneath being slightly rough. I'll continue to experiment, but I believe that if you can get a very smooth primer coat, this paint will produce a very smooth and shiny metal-like surface. However, this is something to keep in mind with any metallic paint.
For a polished look on WW2 aircraft, a great acrylic aluminum was required. And, for the most part, it does look good, but not quite as good as the Alclad product. It's been thinned, so it won't go as far as regular Vallejo products. However, on a plane with black gloss primer, it does look nice; however, at 16 dollars, this product is overpriced; you could just as well buy Alclad. I despise enamel and have avoided using Alclad, but after spending nearly $16 on a single bottle, I no longer have an excuse not to try it.
I really like this paint, as well as Vallejo's entire Metal Color line. br>br>It applies smoothly and completely opaquely. Shoots even better than before. It's not necessary to prime, but a gloss black primer is recommended for that gleaming showroom shine.
There was still enough to keep it without returning it, but a portion of it was lost in shipping. Please do not send the bottle unwrapped in an envelope; instead, wrap it to keep the top from opening. The top opened and spilled as a result of the commotion. I'm not going to get all worked up about it. A piece of tape will keep the problem from happening again. The cycle of life continues.
Simple to work with. Inside the jar is a steel ball that aids in mixing prior to spraying with my airbrush. Stunning outcomes.
Ideal for miniature painters, this cover is perfect.
Brilliant, without a doubt the best acrylic metallic available. Airbrushes and hand brushes in abundance with super fine pigments are excellent and highly recommended.
