Soap and water work fine as long as you don't let the paint dry on the brushes and rinse them frequently; however, keep in mind that the paints dry quickly.
It does, but there is a video on YouTube that goes along with this product and walks you through the process of painting the miniature.
Everything you'll need to get started is included in this kit! It also comes with a gray primer, which you can apply before you begin painting. This kit does not include a clear coat; however, I do not use clear coats and am not a professional. So far, I'm pleased with the outcome of my minis. This kit is also great because it includes two minis that you can practice painting with the help of online video tutorials, which can be especially useful if you're worried about your artistic ability.

Which could simply be due to the fact that the older paints are, well, older. But these paints are so smooth right out of the bottle that most pigments require almost no thinning, and only a drop or two of water is needed to thin them out nicely for thin layering techniques. Pigments that I would normally expect to be weak, such as yellows and reds, are far stronger in this set than any of my other paints (older army painter, Vallejo, Reaper, and even GW), and I cannot recommend this set enough. The included miniature is also well-sculpted and adds a nice touch to the package. The brush included in this set is also a great starter brush, and I've been slowly replacing all of my brushes with Army Painter ones due to their incredible quality for the price. br>br>Basically, if you want to start painting miniatures, buy this set and the other D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D&D D& The only minor criticism I have for this set is that the paint bottles are a little on the small side, but as long as you know that going in, you'll be fine (for reference, they're about the same amount of paint as a GW standard paint pot). And for the price, you're getting a lot more value for your money. ) Overall, I can't say enough good things about this set, and I really hope The Army Painter starts selling these paints separately so I can buy them when mine run out, because there are a few amazing colors in this set that I really like. br>br>By the way, I painted the Owlbear using The Army Painter's online guide, so anyone can use these paints with great success if they follow their simple instructions!.
painting. D is one of my favorite games. D for 25 years, but had never attempted to paint miniatures (or anything else for that matter), so this was my first attempt. It wasn't too bad in the end. I did make a wash out of paint, water, and soap from a recipe I found online that seemed to work fine (there isn't one included in the set). Overall, I believe it is adequate for a novice. br>br>There were a few issues, including the fact that despite multiple attempts, the sword never truly straightened out, which was disappointing. The brush that comes with it is adequate, but for the more delicate areas, you may want to invest in a more specialized detail brush. Also, the blue that came with my set didn't have a dropper top (just a cap), so when I opened it, it spilled all over the place. There was plenty left over for just one mini. Just remember to be cautious when you open yours!.
I received the kit in October and wanted to give it some thought before writing a full review. br>This product was sealed when I first got it. Even though it was plastic wrapped, it did not include the figure listed on the box, and some of the paints had already been used. This led me to believe it was an open box; however, the seller offered me a partial refund, and I decided to use the product anyway because I had a game coming up, and painted figures were preferable to blank white ones. I had misplaced the green paint, which was my fault, so I mixed yellow and blue paint to make everything green. I made all of the colors by mixing paints in some way. The fact that the set didn't include a purple was the only thing that got me excited. You can't mix anything in this set to make anything purple, so Purple Wurm sits and waits for a new kit. My only other rumor was that no matter how hard you shook the bottle, the black paint would never come out neatly. Instead, it would come out in a giant blob, forcing me to figure out how to use all of the paint that had squirted out, and now I'm out of paint and will have to buy another set of paint sooner than expected.
e. You'll be able to mix a wide range of colors (assuming you've ever taken an art class). I used these to create a Hero Forge pre-production model. They adhered VERY well to the figure's surface, were vibrant, and relatively opaque - Even the lighter colors, such as white, had a lot of opaqueness. Overall, this is a good value for money set with excellent paints for beginners. The figure that comes with it, on the other hand, is complete nonsense. Rather than wasting time on the figure that came with the kit, I went straight to painting the figure for which I purchased the paints, even though it was my first time.
Obviously, I was watching a commercial for this product when I saw a miniature figure painter brag about this set. I've considered returning to miniature painting. I've won competitions, sold painted miniature figures, and even been hired to paint sets for hardcore collectors in the past. This set left a lot to be desired. I actually went to a local hobby store to look for paints and will pick them up in person to fill in the gaps in this dreadful set.
Before moving on to your other miniatures, the mini is ideal for practice. br>br>I've tried a lot of different paints, and these are the best. They cover much better than any craft store paint I've ever used, and they use finer pigments for a smoother finish. This set contains all of the primary colors as well as a few other common colors, providing you with everything you'll need to get started with painting. The brush that comes with the set is more than adequate. br>br> You'll need one or two more as you progress through the techniques, but this isn't a major investment. br>br>Overall, I strongly advise anyone interested in learning how to paint miniatures or upgrading their existing paints to start here. These are high-quality paints with a nice miniature and a good brush. With the price, you can't go wrong!.
