Great Product at a Premium Price (Before you buy, do your homework)
5/5

This is one of Tamiya's most popular new products, and it lives up to the company's legendary reputation. It's an excellent decelerator that allows for some fantastic hand painting. It works by adding a drop or two to your paint palette, which prevents the paint from drying too quickly and ensures that the paint is applied glass smooth without brush strokes. This item is still difficult to come by at a reasonable price; I couldn't find it in any of my usual online stores, so I purchased it from Amazon. Although the price was excessive, it was not exorbitant.

It's a must-have if you're going to work with acrylics
5/5

Acrylic paints will take longer to dry. It works well with Testors/Model Master acrylics as well as Tamiya acrylics. Because acrylics dry so quickly, it's nearly impossible to avoid brush marks or pulling up just painted areas. To some extent, using thinner helps, but retarder makes a significant difference. I'm not going to hand-paint acrylics after using it. in the absence of it.

It does what it is supposed to do
5/5

A little goes a long way in this case. When brushing at higher temperatures by hand, this is ideal. It also helps to eliminate brush marks. It will greatly improve the finish if you only use a drop or two at a time. In general, I use a smaller amount of the product than is recommended.

It was a success
5/5

For a model that I had to hand-brush, I needed a color. I enjoy working with Tamiya paints, but I prefer to use an airbrush. I was able to take my time with a hand brush while painting with this product, and the paint applied smoothly.

It does exactly what it says! When using a paintbrush, it's a game changer! I use about a tablespoon of Tamiya thinner and three drops of retarder to get the job done
5/5

It has a unique property in that it slows the drying time of paint without altering the sheen.

Tamiya Paints take a long time to dry
5/5

Because Tamiya paints are notorious for drying quickly when thinned, having some of this on hand is a good idea.
