I'm new to this hobby and have only recently completed my first kit. Because there were so many paint options, I decided to go with Tamiya after receiving some recommendations. It's quite expensive for the amount of product you get, but once you see the results, it's well worth it. This paint is thin, which is beneficial because it allows you to apply the required number of coats without pooling or drips. After that, I recommend adding a few more layers of Tamiya clear coat for a nice shine and polish. br>br>This blue is stunning! It has depth, appearing dark in low light and then revealing itself beneath it. It also has some metal flaking, which is ideal for giving it a metallic appearance. br>br>I'll never use another paint.
This is a beautiful painting. It was my first time painting an RC body, but it turned out to be a breeze. I learned a few things along the way, and I'm looking forward to continuing to use Tamiya paints. It's a darker blue than I expected, but it's exactly what I needed. I sprayed a coat of Gorilla Glue on the inside and then sealed everything with a clear semi-gloss finish. Highly recommended. br>br>.
It appears to be far superior to the promotional images. I used an E revo 1 to record it. It's a beautiful metallic blue with a 0 body and a white backing. All of my other blue Traxxas trucks will almost certainly get a body with this paint job at some point.
I sprayed it on a Traxxas body and it worked perfectly. It went on smoothly and looked great. I sprayed it on a Traxxas body and everything was fine until the paint began to chip in places. I'm not sure why this happened, but I'm pleased with how the paint adhered to the surface. It's for a kid's car, so it's not a major issue; however, it's worth noting.
It applies smoothly and evenly, and all of the matte colors are stunning.
Much more quickly than anticipated. The questions, however, are about how much fun this toy is, and this isn't a toy; it's paint. But it's for a toy that's a lot of fun:.
👍. Tamiya polycarbonate paint works wonders on Lexan bodies.
