Some people dilute their paints to achieve the same effect; however, I prefer the results I get from using bulb oil to those I get from diluting my own paint. It's also less work, and citadel washes are one of my favorite things to do.
That's exactly what it's designed for. It's fantastic for emphasizing any metal-themed model. It brings out the finer points of the design.
If you mean use this shade with Testors, then the answer is possibly. Testors is a brand of paint that comes in a variety of colors. This color would be better suited to their acrylic line rather than their chalk, enamel, or lacquer lines. When most people say Testors, they're usually referring to the enamels, which isn't a good match because Nuln Oil is an acrylic. It also depends on what you're trying to achieve with the paints; some techniques and effects are better achieved by combining different paint types. br>If you mean, work in the manner in which Testors do. Currently, Testors does not have a comparable product.br>When it comes to cleaning, a simple rinse with water is usually sufficient. Brush cleaning soap or solution may be necessary depending on the material and quality of your brushes. Nuln Oil is the color name, as a side note. This isn't a painting made with oil.

I bought it primarily because the quantity is unbeatable, and I use it on a variety of models and color schemes because it's what I'm used to. Ideal for those who are new to washing machines and want a single all-in-one solution. Before they move on to more advanced techniques, they must first learn how to work with ink.
Nuln oil shade is the only thing you should buy from Citadel. This is some of the best stuff you'll ever come across! Don't waste your money on anything that looks like nuln from other vendors because it won't compare. It's ideal for giving the minis that extra pop of color they need to stand out. If you don't already have it, go out and purchase it right away. You will not be sorry.
This stuff is the real deal! It's model painting's Frank's Hot Sauce, and I use it all the time! t across the board! I can't get enough of this stuff, from Dungeons and Dragons minis to custom action figures.
I'm a big fan of the Citadel colors. For the models I've painted, I've used a variety of colors. They have a great look to them and are very easy to work with. I'm sure there are cheaper ways to make washes, but I get a lot more use out of a bottle this way, and the color and flow are consistent.
Although it is a little pricey, this is an excellent product.
It's almost as if this stuff is made of magic. The finished painting appears to be satisfactory, and the application of this appears to be spectacular. This isn't the best dark wash for certain skin tones or hair types, but it's great for the rest of the time.
These are fantastic paints! Because I despise Citadel's pots and they cost more than twice as much as other paints, they're probably the only ones I'll buy from them.
It's a huge help in getting things like chainma to pop.
