There is insufficient data. First and foremost, I'd like to express my admiration for this camera to all of you. It has a fantastic video picture that can be viewed at any time of the day or night. I have a few older Reolink cameras with 1080p resolution that I bought a few years ago and I really like them. 5 Starsbr>br>Having said that. . . The Drawbacksbr>This new UHD camera will not play back video that I have backed up on my computer. It's just a green screen for me right now. I used VLC player to transfer some backup videos to my streaming TV box, and they worked perfectly. I'm assuming you'll need a UHD monitor as well as a computer with HDMI 2. 0b, as well as DHCP 2. 2 and is capable of displaying images in Ultra High Definition (UHD) format. If my assumption is correct, I wish that information had been included in the description or that the support team had been informed. br>br>The resolution cannot be reduced to 1080. That, I believe, would have been the answer to my problem. br>br>The bottom line. I've been using Reolink cameras for a few years and they're fantastic. br>br>Make sure your computer, monitor, and other gear can handle UHD resolution. br>Of course, I could be completely wrong about everything. Someone might be able to shed some light on the subject.

RLC-Reolink RLC-Reolink RLC-Reolink R 510A Camerasbr>I installed two of these cameras, one on my front porch and one in the back yard, because they have people and vehicle detection, which I've found to be very useful. I used to have a Reolink RLC- 410- They now have a 5MP camera in their place, which I have relocated to my back porch. Except for a bug flying in front of the cameras at night, the cameras' detection of people and vehicles is excellent, and there have been few false alarms. My back yard camera is aimed at a canal, and it picks up any passing boats. My front porch is screened in, so cars driving down the road or people in the driveway will be picked up by the camera before they reach the porch's door. The cameras are in excellent condition. The detection of people and vehicles is impressive. br>The cameras are relatively simple to set up; the hardest part is probably running the cat5 cable, which I did by connecting them to a POE network switch. I installed a 128GB SD Card in each camera and configured it to save videos to a NAS (Network Attached File Server). The videos are saved on the NAS as an MP4 file and a JPG image. br>Overall, I believe Reolink produces a good surveillance camera that works well both day and night, and the detection of people and vehicles is excellent.

I bought eight of these cameras, and all I can say is that they are not weatherproof in the way that they are described. They have an exposed reset button that causes the camera to reboot indefinitely if it is exposed to any moisture, including humidity. THESE ARE NOT TO BE USED OUTSIDE. In the first 30 days, my system failed 50% of the time. It's fine for indoor use, but it's not suitable for outdoor use, as claimed.

I decided to try something different and purchased Reolink's 'new and improved' camera, but it's just as bad as the others. It will record hours of nothing and then miss a large number of people passing by. The detection sensitivity has been tweaked. Cameras have been relocated. There is no issue with shadows. I spoke with customer service, and I can tell you that you will have hours of zero movement recorded, and you might miss something crucial. So, what exactly is the point of all of this?.

The AI vehicle motion detection is fantastic. I haven't made any adjustments for people yet. The Android Reolink app did not support the time lapse feature. When I contacted tech support, they were quick to respond, suggesting that I try some older versions of the app and send in some crash reports for their software engineers to review. Finally, they admitted that the app has a bug, which they intend to fix in the next version. They claimed that the time lapse functioned with the iPhone app. It was refreshing to see a company respond to and follow up on such a request. Otherwise, the Android and Windows apps perform admirably in terms of live viewing, SD card playback, setting changes, and firmware updates. If you have the Windows app installed, you can use it to save longer motion clips to your computer's hard drive, as well as take photo snapshots and live video. br>I have two Reolink cameras, one of which is mounted on a solar-powered cart that allows me to monitor my garden from afar. It's connected via a bridged router. Given that I was using older routers, I was surprised at how well the video quality and playback worked. I used a direct plugged in 12v to power this remote system. I use POE on the internet cable for the other camera. Having both options is beneficial. br>I usually turn off the infrared LEDs, but when they are turned on, they illuminate a large area. br>This camera has a solid and high-quality construction. With only one tightening ring to tighten, this new version makes setting up the angle a breeze. However, one of the camera's rings was so tight out of the box that I had to loosen it with channel lock pliers. The other camera could be loosened by hand. br>Overall, a good product with great company support.
