A few weeks after the first purchase, I added indoor cameras to my collection. Although problems persist, the time limit for requesting a refund has passed. Several times I contacted Eufy customer service, who suggested various settings and system upgrades, but the errors persisted despite the changes. Customer service responds with the same excuse that their tech team is working on the issues, and speculates that the 2C cameras may be defective, offering to send replacements in one email. Then, in a subsequent response, he offered to send a Pan/Tilt indoor camera in its place. It was a good deal, but the problems are with the outdoor 2C cameras, not the indoor cameras. Customer service responded with a $25 refund for the issues that had not been resolved. $25? That was quite offensive. BUY THIS SYSTEM AT YOUR OWN RISK! br>br>DO NOT BUY THIS SYSTEM! That is something I cannot emphasize enough. br>br> This is a bad system. Several false alarm issues, as well as the Dysfunctional Zone feature. Notifications are inconsistent (at times it will capture a person, at other times it will not). AI that isn't working correctly. It's fairly simple to set up. br>br>If AI does not filter out too many events, the battery-powered 2C camera will last a few months. br>br>Events will be recorded and stored locally (there will be no subscription fees). THE BAD: br>br> br>AI is capable of detecting a large number of false positives (for example: Human faces were discovered in the shadows). No matter how the sensitivity or activity zones are set, the system will continue to give false alarms of shadows posing as humans. Distracting to say the least. Also, how could you possibly pay attention to a genuine alert if you are constantly bombarded with false alarms? A lot of the time, the eufy system screams "wolf. " So much so that you begin to avoid using the siren altogether. br>br>Activities Zones that have been set up are a waste of time. Essentially, you get a set of colored rectangles on your app, but Eufy continues to detect outside of those zones (draining the battery). Also, when it comes to detecting movement, the zones that have been set up are inconsistent (as has been mentioned in other reviews). You will receive a notification on occasion and not on others. Increasing the sensitivity level has no effect on the inconsistency of notifications. However, it aids in the capture of more activity outside of the established zone. br>br>To record events, indoor cameras need a micro SD card. It's just a camera if you don't use it. It would be preferable if the indoor camera could connect to the Homebase2 and save recordings there. It would also be preferable if the Homebase2 included a micro SD card slot. br>br>For multiple users, geofencing does not work. Even if one person is in the zone and the other is out, eufy will set the security system to "Away. " Even if a family member hasn't left the zone all day, geofencing will mark them as being "out of the zone. " The use of geofencing varies by unit. The status of one indoor camera will differ from that of the home system (Homebase2). I reported the problem to Eufy Support, who responded fairly quickly, but the system updates provided did not resolve the issue. According to the eufy forums, the Geofencing issue has been a long-standing issue that has yet to be resolved. br>br>After weighing the pros and cons, I have concluded that the Eufy system does not perform well as a home security system, and I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. It will be insufficient in terms of security protection.

I wanted to give my cameras a little more sun and rain protection, as well as a way to help them blend in better with the shadows of my eaves. These are unquestionably effective. They have a tight fit but are simple to put on and take off. (I believe the reviewer who claims they don't fit at all was attempting to use them with the incorrect camera model. ) ) They also don't stand out as much because the camera's face and sides are the same color. Given that they're not particularly complicated, I'd prefer they cost less than $15, but I'll pay whatever it takes to keep my camera cases from turning yellow in the sun.

Not by a long shot. I bought the "skins" for my Eufy cameras to hide the bright white color and cover the camera completely in case of bad weather. The photograph depicts the camera's full skin coverage, with no white visible. In practice, the "skin" covers 1/3 to 1/2 of the camera. This product has left me extremely dissatisfied and disappointed, despite the fact that the cameras themselves are fantastic. The skins, on the other hand, aren't. I would have returned the skins if we hadn't waited a few weeks to put them on the cameras, and it was such a pain removing the cameras and then repositioning them perfectly that we decided to forego the money. The skins are not something I would recommend.

It becomes hot as a result of the color. The silicone skin is easy to apply and perfectly fits the camera. The camera's body is protected by it. Because of the protection, the camera looks brand new after more than six months of use. However, because black absorbs heat, the camera overheats. Because of the high temperatures in the summer, the camera is frequently turned off. Even though it's only in the 90s F outside, the camera's temperature is closer to 130F due to the skin. This does not make me happy, and I wish that another company produced better skins and colors. There is a brown skin for the Arlo available from a third-party vendor, which may be more suitable for some houses.

I knew the Eufy 2C outdoor cameras were white when I bought them, so finding skins for them was a welcome surprise. They're a little pricey for silicon sleeves, but they're comfortable and don't feel too tight or loose. The charging port on the bottom, as well as the screw attachment at the back of the camera, are not obscured by the sleeve, which made me shrug about the price. br>br> The sleeve's front edge has a slight lip that curls around the front of the camera, concealing the 2C camera's white edges but not its functionality. br>br>I'm actually a lot happier with this purchase than I expected to be, and I now think the cameras look nice and will be better protected from dust and weather thanks to their protective casing.
