You can also use the included 3M double sided tape to semi-install the camera angle/view on the magnetic base. The camera should be permanently mounted. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done.

This product has a number of significant flaws that make it unsuitable for use as a security solution. By holding the Sync button on the back of the camera for 10 seconds, a thief can steal the camera, erase all video from the event, and remove it from the system. For at least 6 months, Eufy has been aware of the flaw in all of their cameras and has done nothing to address it in existing devices. I purchased this camera in the hopes that the problem had been resolved at least for newer devices. Not so. This is a major problem for a supposed security product; hundreds of posts about it have been made on the Eufy community and Reddit, but the company has done nothing to address it. They simply keep churning out new products that have the same flaws. The hard mounting option was also removed, which is a flaw unique to this model. In the past, a 1/4-inch drill bit could be used. They only have a cheap magnetic mount left, which anyone with a stick could defeat. When these two flaws are combined, they effectively remove any security you might expect: a thief approaches the camera with a stick and knocks it down, then presses the Sync button for 10 seconds, erasing the camera from the app and erasing all of the camera's events. Furthermore, he has the option of walking away with the device and selling it to someone else. Is this something you'd want to protect your home with?.
A fantastic feature is two-way audio. The camera appears to be weatherproof. Notifications are immediate and it has 100% person detection rate so far. There is a beta pet detection setting that, in my experience, does not work for detecting cats - Larger pets, I'm not sure about. The camera worked fine for about a week before beginning to act strangely: every morning, it remains stuck in black and white mode, triggering no motion recordings and sending no notifications. I only realized it because I had people in the drive way and had not received any notification. The live video feed continues to be available. However, there is a time limit - Only in black and white. It occurs occasionally at night, and the only solution thus far has been to restart the camera. This has been going on for a few days now. It appears to be a camera issue, as I've observed the same behavior on two iPhones and two iPads, and none of my Indoor Cam 2k cameras are affected. Resetting is a chore because I have to use a long ladder to reach the camera and the reset button, which then necessitates resetting the camera. Due to the magnetic mount, you must adjust the camera, which is not necessary with a fixed mount (which should be included in the box). There should also be a software option for resetting it instead of using the camera's physical button, which requires you to open the microSD card's weather seal, which is inconvenient when done frequently. This is what I'm hoping for - and can be remedied as soon as possible. Until this is fixed, it is completely useless in terms of detecting intruders. As a result of my generous three-star rating, which I will have to reduce to one star if the problem cannot be resolved. Aside from that, this is a solid 5-star device. br>br>UPDATE: br>Eufy technical support was extremely quick to respond to my inquiry, answering it within hours. They requested video for analysis and sent me a new camera to test within a few days. This one, however, had the same flaw, and technical support suggested a possible firmware issue and provided a new firmware 1. In just three days, I had six! This one fixed the strange behavior, and the camera is now completely functional. They even allowed me to keep my old camera. I highly recommend this camera, and if you need technical assistance, Eufy's responsiveness is outstanding!.
This 2k outdoor cam is fantastic. It includes AI, motion detection, a Micro SD card, and no cloud storage is required. There is no need to replace the batteries because it comes with outlets cable. The things I don't like are the 2k @ 15 fps and the fact that I can't read the license plate when a car passes by at a distance of about 20 feet. I'm hoping they'll be able to upgrade to a 2k@30fps. As a result, when you zoom in on the license plate, it becomes clearer. After a few weeks with this, I gave it four stars. br>br> It gave me a problem with the pink color live and playback, but it was quickly resolved. The issue with the good customer service generator email has been resolved.

Customer service at Eufy was gracious enough to send me a brand new security camera after I informed them of my situation. I'm currently working on an update for them on this camera. br>br>I just noticed that Amazon did not give me a full refund. For $ 99, I purchased this item. They only refunded me $90, despite the fact that I paid $99 to them. I was chatting with a customer service representative via the internet, and she kept insisting that it was a refund. Finally, I spoke to someone else and told her that was the incorrect amount. Because the other person kept saying I was late, the restocking fee was waived. I recommend that you look up the tracking number. With all of this back and forth, it arrived on time and was free for one month. After a few days, she returned my $20 prom Amazon certificate. So don't give up because it's the principle that matters.
I recently purchased two wireless Eufy cameras, and they were a complete disaster. The motion detectors would rarely detect and the battery would approximately 2 weeks later. I know Eufy's motion detection isn't bad because I have an indoor wired camera, so I decided to give the outdoor wired camera a try, and I'm glad I did.
