What I'm seeing in Central Texas (Lake Travis) is something I'd like to share. If I'm at home and connected to my router through 802.11, 11 A/B/G/N/AC I am routed through my local ISP to their server, which initiates a broadband session with my system. There will be no use of Telecom Data. If I'm in the heart of Austin and want to check the cameras on my phone, I'll use a WI-FI connection. The situation is the same in FI. If I put my phone in ATT data mode, which means I turn off the WiFi, When you use Wi-Fi and connect to the phone network, the ATT app will show you how much data you're using. The phone-to-server hop is consuming data, but the system-to-their-server connection is still using my home wired connection. The amount of data transmitted is frightening, so make sure you understand this or have an unlimited data plan before using this on a non-WiFi network. I hope this has been of assistance. When accessed remotely, the system is excellent, with crisp images, which explains the size of the bite. It doesn't appear that any compression is being used; instead, there is a single large fat stream of data.

You've found it! This is the one to get if you're looking for a security camera system. I spent hours researching and physically inspecting various systems. Overall, this system stood out among the competition. Advantages: br>br>
- a more detailed image This is extremely critical. The higher the resolution, the more identifying information you can see from a greater distance. The majority of systems are limited to 1080p or 720p resolutions. Reolink goes a step further than that.
- PoE. Because there is only one cable to run for both signal and power back to the recorder, Power over Ethernet allows for a very quick installation. It also means that any holes you need to make in your walls will be considerably smaller.
- The Ethernet cable is of excellent quality, is extremely flexible, and can easily pass through narrow spaces.
- The video feed can be accessed in a variety of ways. It was especially convenient to be able to access the interface and recordings using my laptop/desktop, phone, tablet, or the Reolink recorder, especially when it came time to position the cameras. It was a breeze because I could see the camera view on my phone.
- The motion tracking system is ideal for getting the most out of your recording time while reducing the number of unnecessary recordings and alerts.
- There are 100% other cameras for certain needs that are 100% compatible and just plug in.

This is an all-too-common issue with screws these days. I strongly advise against using the included screws and instead purchasing a pack of number 6 wood screwsbr>- It's a little tricky to adjust the motion sensitivity. It doesn't take much tinkering to get it right for your needs, so that's not really a complaint. I recommend that you take your time and don't expect to get it right on the first try.
This review also applies to the additional Reolink cameras I bought with this system: .
