There are two sets of locks in my house, each with two keys. Both locks are unlocked when all four keys are used.
It will, but I'm not sure what level of difficulty will be involved. I've heard that 3M's "general purpose adhesive remover" makes removal simple and without causing damage to the mating surface, but I haven't tried it myself. Because the adhesive pads are thin, the lock pads are close to the mating surface, making prying the locks off without damaging the mating surface difficult. Using 3M's product should loosen the pads enough to pull off in about 10 minutes. Best wishes to you.
In my experience, this is not true. If you used a screwdriver to pry on the sealing surface, you could get it off, but not by pulling on the refrigerator door. You'd knock everything off the door shelves and possibly damage the door in the process of yanking it open. If the pad mating surface of the refrigerator is thoroughly cleaned before the pads are attached, the bond will be extremely strong. These pads' adhesive isn't like double-sided tape; it's much thinner and stronger. The mating surfaces, once again, must be clean for this lock to work properly. I hope this has been of assistance.
It should; I have one in my garage, and we leave the garage door open, plus there's a dryer in there, so it gets humid at times, but the glue still sticks.

This thing isn't going to come off. When I wasn't around, my stash of ale was being raided by nefarious individuals, so I bought a mini fridge. When that didn't work, I went out and bought one of these refrigerator locks. I had broken several bones in my hand before it arrived, so I was concerned when I received it and read the instructions. My brother-in-law helped me install it, but I couldn't push hard enough, so he said to pull it off and reposition it because it was slightly crooked. This is not going to work. You might be able to cut the lock off with a pair of bolt cutters, but even a linebacker with a blow torch and a crowd bar couldn't do it. Several colossal pals attempted it. Make sure this is something you want to keep on all of the time. The safety of my beer is guaranteed.
We found this to be effective. Our special-needs daughter was always able to get around the locks that most children use. She'd break them by repeatedly opening the freezer door, causing the plastic or adhesive to fail. She won't be able to defeat this design because it has a much larger adhesive surface area. We use a MasterLock 653D with the code 0000 so that the rest of the family can easily access the refrigerator. Great product, but make sure there's no slack in the cables when you put the pads down.
Willi Syndrome is no longer in the refrigerator or freezer. It's to save his life, literally, because if he could get his hands on the food, he'd eat himself to death. One is on the refrigerator door, and the other is on the freezer. It's been 5 months, and they're still going strong. He was able to remove the handles from both the fridge and freezer doors, but the locks prevented them from opening. It comes highly recommended!.
I, too, have an autistic son, as mentioned by another customer. He's picky about food and drink, but whatever we have that he enjoys, he consumes in large quantities with no "full" limit. He'll eat and drink until everything is gone. (Not to mention the fact that no one else in the house, including his brother, gets anything. ) I've always compared it to bulimia without the vomiting. That's exactly how it feels; I've been told for years that I need one; I used to have child-proof locks, but my son is now 12 years old. I've always been more concerned about the fact that we live in a rental, but now he eats and drinks more and doesn't follow directions nearly as well. Everything, from snacks to milk, is kept locked outside the house. He also enjoys getting up in the middle of the night, going to the kitchen, and opening and closing the refrigerator as a form of entertainment and stimulation (light inside the fridge). I finally decided to purchase one because I believe the refrigerator will need to be replaced before we move out. That lock isn't going anywhere any time soon. Kids are yanking and pulling at it in the hopes that it will open this time, but they eventually give up. As a result, our autistic son has stopped trying to entertain himself and has gone to bed because I have taken the fun out of it. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> After a month of not getting his way, our son grabbed a steak knife and effortlessly popped it off. We were ecstatic to be able to put food in the fridge again, and we were eager to resolve the issue. We bought another one from a different seller/brand, and when I heard him in the kitchen after installing the second, I chased him away. I caught him in the act with a knife wedged behind it, and I decided the fridge was only worth $300, so I poured a gallon of super glue into crevices and around edges. He returned at 1 a. m. to give it another shot. He popped the other side off because he couldn't. I just glued it to the fridge with super glue and am now sitting here watching it dry. I'm hoping to make it through the night at the very least, and I'll generously add more. It would be ideal if the person or people saw it and respected it, or if they only tug a few times. Someone who is discourteous and unconcerned can still gain access if they truly desire it.
A game cam would have been more entertaining, but who has that kind of money after buying endless pounds of disappearing turkey slices? Bought this to cut down on the lunch meat that was mysteriously disappearing from my personal mini fridge that I keep in my office; a game cam would have been more entertaining, but who has that kind of money after buying endless pounds of disappearing turkey slices?.
I have two ungrateful children who sneak into my garage refrigerator and drink my diet soda despite repeated warnings. Despite threats of electronic seizure, nothing seemed to stop them from stealing. So I secured my refrigerator with a padlock. So far, it's been extremely beneficial. They have nothing but water, while I have a cold Coke Zero to wake me up in the morning. The adhesive is strong, and it has so far kept them out. We're crossing our fingers that it keeps working.
These locks were purchased because I have a special needs daughter who will eat the contents of the refrigerator at night. Between her tantrums and my older son's autism tantrums, this lock has held up. Because they are both teenagers, they use a lot of force. The plastic part that holds the metal rod snapped off, so I'm ordering a replacement right now. I wish I didn't have to use this product, but it's helped me save thousands of dollars and my daughter's health over the years.
I bought super glue to use with these because I didn't think they would stay together without it. br>br>I decided to follow the instructions and use the locks as instructed. Was I ever wrong about my initial assumptions! br>br>I found that using the locks in the manner described in the instructions works well. For the past few weeks, I've had them installed. I was unable to open the refrigerator and freezer even though the lock was on and locked. They, too, have yet to come off. br>br>I purchased these because my son is a food thief. When I need it, I can leave the lock unlocked. When the strap is unlocked, you can move it around as needed to keep it out of the way. br>br>I purchased two sets of locks, both of which are keyed alike, which is convenient for me because I have four keys. br>br>I don't like the price, but it's well worth it!.
