I'm not sure if it's officially weather proof. Mine has been exposed to the elements 24 hours a day, seven days a week for about two years and still appears to be in good working order, despite the fact that I occasionally spray it with lubricant.
Hello. We're afraid we won't be able to provide two 2-hour slots. In this marketplace, all packs will be keyed the same.

Amazon fulfillment is a pain in the neck. Yes, but not really. So. It's a WONDERFUL lock. However, I purchased nine sets in order to secure nine company vehicles. That's what I got, as you can see in the photo. These aren't going to work for me. How long do you think it will take an employee to figure out that their key from truck 5 can be used on truck 2? This is why the locks were installed in the first place! The frustrating part is that I called Amazon to simply ask if there was a way to order seven of these and get seven different key code locks, or if that was too difficult, if we should just return all nine sets of locks and place a new order with the request that when they are pulled from the rack, they are all different key codes. Sure, why not? English with a stutter Doesn't understand what I'm trying to say, and I've tried rephrasing this phrase so many times that I feel like I'm speaking in gibberish. Amazon representative wants to call manufacture - I try to explain why, but he doesn't seem to understand. There's nothing wrong with the lock; it's an issue with Amazon's fulfillment center. not the production of For a few minutes, I was on hold. He replied that he couldn't reach them and asked if he could contact me. I tried the whole "the manufacturer isn't at fault here, we need to take care of it between me and amazon" approach and received the standard "yes yes i understand yes yes i call you back please" response. So, sir, I'd like to thank you for your assistance and then we'll part ways. I'm writing this review while manually setting up a return in my account and planning a trip to Home Depot. I'm not enraged, and I'm not writing a one-star review just for the sake of it. I just wanted to make this public in case other businesses are interested in locking things up and controlling the keys. Some things simply CANNOT be done online; bricks and motors are still required.
It appears to be a heavy-duty lock. However, what is the significance of the key design? Because the slot was placed on the side of the key, unlike any other key in history, it hangs crooked and sticks out further on the side than other keys. I'm trying to come up with a good reason why anyone would think this is a good idea. One star deducted for obnoxious design changes.
Because I was moving states, I used this lock on a POD. However, because my new apartment wouldn't be ready for MONTHS, I simply parked it in the parking lot, and when I realized I'd misplaced the keys, I asked the property manager to cut the lock. Moreover, he was unable to do so. He experimented with two different bolt cutter sets. I eventually located the keys, and everything worked out fine. For a brief moment, however, I was sweating. While I was relieved that others couldn't pick the lock, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to access my own belongings! Now that I think about it, it's kind of amusing. Regardless, this is an excellent lock. There is no evidence of months spent outside.
Regardless of how hard I yanked on the key, it would not 'pop' open. The other seemed to be on the verge of becoming ice-cold - I was able to open it by pulling on it, which didn't 'pop' up. In extremely cold weather, I can no longer rely on them. I sprayed WD40 on them and down the shaft since then - I hope that helps, but I shouldn't have to do that for a lock that is designed to be used outside. Prior to this, I thought they were reasonably priced, but they let me down by refusing to give me access to my unit.
These were purchased for my U- They worked perfectly as a pack pod. I liked having an extra key because it was very sturdy and easy to use. Also, a big thank you to whoever came up with the packaging for this. They're packaged in tough plastic that's difficult to cut or break open, giving the impression that these are tough locks. But it's also aggravating until you realize the trick is to remove the key and unlock the locks before sliding them out. Whoops.
However, I am unable to remove the keys. I'm not sure what I can do to get through this. I'm a disabled arthritic senior citizen who wants to install those two locks on my gates to keep strangers out of my yard, but I can't get the locks out of the friggin' packaging. MASTER LOCK, what were your thoughts? Reconsider your packaging if marketing believes it is impressive. as well as the marketing department. It's FRUSTRATING packaging for the consumer. Because I can't even open it, I'm returning it.
We were forced to make a decision. Because the 4 ft bolt cutters had chipped, the chain had to be cut instead.
I went so far as to ask the Community- Is there a key included, as some people have complained about not receiving one? So, my husband and I assumed it was just bad luck for a few of the reviewers, but we just opened our package and the place where the key was supposed to be was empty.
