They don't appear to have any "security pins," but they do advertise a "5-minute" appointment. Changeable cylinders, as well as a pin tumbler cylinder for added security and over 9,000 key changes for maximum pick resistance." It's a very strong lock, and I'm impressed by it. If there are any security pins, it's best to check with the manufacturer.
On a 22-foot sailboat, I used it. I had rented a Penske truck. I felt very comfortable leaving it unattended when needed, but the diameter is 3/8 inches, which may be too large for your needs.
There's a good chance you'll find what you're looking for using Google. Find master 930 cores by looking up the model number (930, I believe). Despite the lock's bulky appearance, the core in this one has a low level of security.

This one, however, is an exception. Many people are unaware of how simple it is to pick most keyed padlocks. Lockpicking kits and instructions are available on Amazon, and you'll be picking locks in under an hour. It isn't difficult - really. I gave my daughter a wrench/rake and a five-minute lesson, and she was able to pick three regular Master padlocks in a matter of minutes (the first one was picked on the first rake). Picking padlocks isn't difficult if you're not a spy or something. br>br>This isn't your typical Master padlock. br>br>I'm a "locksporter" (a lock picker who does it for fun), and I've picked a lot of locks. Even if they're the same make/model, some are more difficult than others. While watching TV, I go through a box of Master and Brinks padlocks. Most of these locks can be picked in a matter of seconds (if it doesn't open on the fourth rake, I consider it a failed attempt and restart). br>br>I only own one of these locks (they're pricey), and it's extremely difficult to pick. I've only picked it three times, and each time took well over an hour, requiring far more skill with the wrench and the rake than any other lock I've ever attempted. The tolerances are extremely tight, but the spring forces are extremely strong, making it difficult to achieve the ideal pressure. The wrench motion is nearly imperceptible when a pin falls. This is why I believe my lock isn't just an unusually difficult case. I believe that any lock of this model will be difficult to pick because the difficulty stems from the design and manufacture of the lock, rather than the profile of the key (which determines the difficulty of most other locks). br>br>In addition, the shackle is quite thick - Check to see if your program can handle it. Also, the shackle is not spring-loaded (once the key is turned, you must tug the lock open).
I'm writing this "review" in the hopes of saving other people from having to deal with the same problems I did. The 11mm shackle diameter is too large for the latches at Public Storage, and it simply does not fit. Because I'll be storing a lot of valuables in the storage unit for a while, I wanted the best lock I could find at a reasonable price, and I was initially overjoyed to find this. This lock transports me to the days when I had to check-in at the airport. in semi- Target's receiving dock is clogged with trailer loads - It's very beefy, and it resembles the semi-trucks. on the trailers of a trucking company - to protect the $500,000 in inventory on any given truck The padlock's locking and unlocking are both buttery smooth - I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1-I took 1- Because the diameter of the shackle is not stated anywhere on the packaging, it receives a one-star rating. So, if you were looking at this in a store, you wouldn't know if it would or wouldn't work for your application unless you went to MasterLock's website.
It performs exactly as expected and is extremely durable, but the weight of the materials is a drawback. This lock is surprisingly heavy for its size, but that's to be expected given that it's made of Boron Alloy and the body boasts "Solid Steel. INSTEAD, BUY AN ASUS "PLUS" CORE. An inexperienced lock picker can pick this lock in less than 30 seconds. This provides absolutely no protection. Yes, it appears to be quite substantial. The security features of duty and Master are advertised, but an amateur picker can easily open this.
I liked the look of this lock and assumed I was getting a good secure padlock, but after making my purchase, I came across a Youtube video showing how easy it is to force open this lock. You can see what I mean if you look up "Master 930DPF easy to pick. " Master Lock is said to have bought the design from American Lock and then cheated on the internals. Although it appears to be strong and well-made, it appears to be quite vulnerable. I'm currently on the lookout for a replacement lock that is both functional and secure.
I knew it was beefy, but I didn't realize it lacked pick resistance - I bought some LOTOs to replace the cylinder because the LOTOs have six security pins while the cylinders I have only have five. According to reports, none of them are security personnel. I was surprised to discover that all five of the spools on this lock were spools. I'm guessing the lock has been improved over time to make it more difficult to pick. Why aren't they making it a 6-point game? While they're at it, however, it's a mystery what they're going to pin.
Look at the image. The steering column was locked, so thieves didn't get away with my bike. Aside from the fact that they were able to simply crack the lock's steel bracket, the locking mechanism itself had been faulty for weeks. When I twisted the key to lock the bracket down, I noticed that the entire bracket could still be lifted up and out of the housing! When I twisted the key, I had to smack the lock a few times before it finally locked in place. You wouldn't notice this unless you gave the lock a hard pull to make sure it was locked. It's completely absurd.
This is most likely Master Lock's strongest lock; I've used it as a bike lock in the city on a street where bikes are stolen frequently. For more than three years, the lock has been left outside in the snow and rain, exposed to road salt. It's rusted and tarnished now, but it always works, even when it's -5 degrees outside and I'm at the bottom of a snowdrift. Also, this lock is virtually impervious to 36" bolt cutters, which is extremely impressive. When the fire department was training on how to combat padlocks with their special tools, all padlocks broke in seconds, except this one, which took over 12 minutes of nonstop pounding with pry bars and sledge hammers. It's a pickable padlock that can be defeated with 48" bolt cutters. If you want something better, look for Abus / Abloy. ).
