Although the information on the box does not specify where they are manufactured, they are assembled in Mexico and are of excellent quality. When I'm hauling, I put them on a cargo trailer, but when I'm not, I take them off. Even after traveling in wet conditions, they still look brand new. When they're new, they fit snugly on cargo doors, but after a few uses, they're much easier to install.

This appears to be a well-made lock. When I first picked it up, I was taken aback by the weight; 1 1/2 pounds of meat! I was curious as to how it worked because the photos on the posting were not particularly instructive. As shown in my photos, you turn the key and the shackle descends. An allen screw holds the pin cylinder in place as it comes out in its entirety. If you needed to change the cylinder for any reason, you could easily remove the allen screw and pull it all the way out. The length of the shackle is approximately. 44 inch. br>One thing to keep in mind is that removing the key from the lock while it is unlocked is impossible. This could be beneficial or detrimental depending on your circumstances. Only time will tell how well it withstands elements such as rain and temperature change, but it appears to be well constructed.
This lock is suitable for all mobile enclosed trailers as well as the majority of carry trucks. Check out the picture to see how much better it works than disc locks!.
The locks are well worth the money, and they are a very sturdy set. For the four locks, I was given eight keys. The key is a high-quality full-size key, not a small, low-cost key. It perfectly fits the latches on my cargo trailer. Locks of comparable quality cost twice as much!.
They actually walk right by it. I've had a lot of trouble trying to get a stuck key out, and I've wiggled and pulled a lot to get it out. Finally, I took them to a locksmith, who noticed that they weren't stopping in the proper spot. After it stops, you must return the key to the 12 o'clock position. This is the first and only time I've ever had a lock that works like this. This needs to be fixed!.
On the second day, one stopped working and wouldn't open with the key, so I had to drill it open. Another one was unable to be opened with the key today. The lock needed to be drilled once more. These are a waste of time and money.
In comparison to the knockoff brands, these are fantastic. Sure, it'll set you back a little more, but it'll be well worth it. The lock slides open and close very smoothly, as if it were precision manufactured. The key slot has been recessed for added security. The keys are easy to insert and turn. It has more weight to it. I've saved money by using others that did the job but rusted and became difficult to unlock, and they never glided as smoothly, even when new. Compared to the cheaper knockoffs, it appears that more thought went into the design of these. br>br>If you're on a budget, the other brands of hidden-camera cameras are a good alternative. Shaft hockey puck locks, such as this one, are a significant improvement over exposed shaft locks in terms of security, as they eliminate bolt-cutting vulnerability. But, if you can afford it, I'd recommend going with the Master brand for a higher-quality lock.
A friend swears by them and uses them on all of his work trailers. Price, keyed alike, and the Master brand's reputation all played a role in my decision. My 2019 Aluma enclosed 7 x 12 has a ramp door with standard bar locks, which works perfectly. Although the fit may appear tight, the pin always locks in when you gently push the lock towards the trailer. When they're locked on, I like the snug fit because there's no rattle or vibration wear. These are the most effective trailer door locks available. Ever! br>I received three locks, all keyed alike, as ordered, and the cylinders are smooth. They are simple to install, and because they are installed with the opening down, they do not collect rain water and do not freeze. If one set of keys had not been bent beyond repair, this would have been a perfect 5 star rating. Hopefully, I will be able to obtain copies locally. br>Cutting these off is nearly impossible due to the encased bolt. Drilling the cylinder and then blowing compressed air into it to clean out the shavings was the previous experience I had with one when the keys were lost. It took me about 5 minutes, but I was careful not to damage the trailer door in the process. I'm guessing that if someone really wanted to break in, they could do it in under two minutes. But it's a long way from cutting through a padlock or one of those storage facility locks in two seconds. Overall, it's quite safe, works well, and appears to be professional.
