Questions & Answers
Some people claim to have received four keys, while others claim to have received only two. There were only two keys included in my four-lock set.
The shackle is a quarter inch thick.
The lock shown in the photo is not the same as the one I bought. The lock I have is a lot bigger than 3/8".
This is something I'm not convinced of. This is an excellent lock that could probably be keyed the same on all four sides.

If you're learning how to pick locks, this is a great lock to start with. br>br>Also, because the driver pins can be forced above the sheer line, it can be picked in under 2 seconds with a comb style pick. br>br>I will be replacing mine with something else right away.
I wasn't having much luck finding a lock that would work with my low-cost 50-caliber ammo can. I decided to give this lock a try after purchasing two other locks that wouldn't fit without modifying the can. I couldn't find much information on the internet about exactly what lock would work, so I decided to write a review so that others who were looking for a lock for the same application would have better luck than I did. I'm happy to report that this appears to be the ideal lock for not modifying your ammo can and jeopardizing the watertight seal's integrity. There are no modifications required, and it is securely locked; there is no way in without the key or breaking the lock. For the rest of my ammo cans, I'll buy a bulk pack that's keyed alike.
This lock will prevent the average burglar from gaining access to something as long as they can't carry away whatever you're trying to protect. br>I keep my valuables in a thick wooden chest (weighted down with 120 pounds of dumbbells). I bought this lock to turn the chest into a makeshift safe, which I still think it does a good job of, hence the four stars. My prepper roommate, who has a set of lock picks, was able to pick the lock in just under 5 minutes, which is good enough for me because most burglars aren't going to waste that much time on something that might not be worth it, and my roommate also stated that this lock was more difficult to unlock than a lower end brinks lock he had.
The guts of the lock clung to the key as it disintegrated in my hands. What a knucklehead.
This lock set is secure enough to keep my enclosed trailer doors and hitch locked. So far, the keys have worked flawlessly. br>Following a few rainstorms, the lock mechanism shows signs of rust caused by moisture. br>I'll give it a good lubrication and see how it holds up over the winter. br>For the price, it does the job; hopefully, it will survive the winter, salt exposure, and freeze/thaw cycles.
It's made of metal rather than plastic. Good job. Metal, and it looks exactly like it does in the photo.
Check out the customer feedback. It's a cinch to choose this. I got it for my brother as a joke present. This lock was used on a metal box with a gift inside. He picked this lock in under an hour after I gave him some $20 lock picking tools! This is the lock to use if you want to practice lock picking blindly.
Seriously, these aren't made as well as they once were. My old one worked great; the key went in easily and turned smoothly; the new one requires some finagling to turn.
