Questions & Answers

Do these slip on or are they ?

The slip-on was all that was needed. This is more appealing to me than the threaded.

Are there any screw on options for this?

The screw onto the panel is only secured by a screw in the side, as well as a small set screw in the back so that it cannot turn after installation.

What kind of shoe are you wearing? Do you wear slip-ons or threaded shoes?

There is a slip-on style to it. You may need to cut off the threaded nipple in order not to damage the eyelet when you do this By sliding it over the threads, the ring is attached. It is possible to run into length issues if you do this.

Do these include the valves and O rings as well?

While it has been some time since I installed, I can tell you that you get everything as seen on the photo and that I didn't have to purchase additional hardware from the There is a diverter that turns the water from the shower to the tub. That is likely what you are referring to when you say valves Unless you can explain what you mean by valves, I cannot understand?

It is important to choose the correct In the slipstream A threaded comparison versus an on comparison
4/5

The diverter is doing its job as it sends all but a small amount of water to the shower head. However, that's not why I am writing this letter. Several others have pointed out that a diverter can be mounted in a couple of ways. You must choose the correct type of diverter for the one you intend to replace. There is a slip-on unit in this unit You can divert the signal on the There is a sleeve in the diverter, which you thread with a copper pipe. When you tighten something, you use a hex bolt. If you're replacing a slip-on, you use a socket wrench Installation of the unit is straightforward as it is a diverter. In fact, I had been replacing a Moen diverter that looked exactly like this. The diverter turned out to be threaded, as I later learned. Neither a sleeve nor a pocket was present. In place of this, it had threads at the spout end of the unit. X-Bay Company's threaded diverter is meant to be installed on copper pipes that have threads. It attaches by screwing onto the pipe. These diverters are incompatible with each other. The two can't be substituted for one another. You may wish to look underneath the diverter before you buy it to see if there is a hex head or a screw. The diverter should be unscrewed from the wall if it is not. You may have to apply quite a bit of force to accomplish it. Ideally, it should be threaded. If it unscrews, then that is not what you want. Get a free quote on a Moen 3809BN tub fitting.

In the heavy duty category
4/5

It is a quality tub spout that is made of heavy-duty materials. Spouts available for purchase are thin, cheaply made, and have limited functionality. Even though my original spout was threaded, I was easily able to remove the threads and copper pipe coming out of the wall at the recommended length despite the threads being threaded. The old pipe can be sanded down and the new one can be installed. Make sure to caulk up around the first place the pipe enters the wall of the shower, to keep water from entering As far as setting the shower, the spout is easy to close while in use. Water leaks below it but it does not leak above. Instead of pushing the water through the shower, my old Price Pfister was leaking half the water out of the tub spout. It is an expensive spout, and that is the only thing that is negative. I don't know why someone can't make a generic replacement spout for under $30 that's well built and solid. It is not uncommon to have cheap ones that are badly built and ill-functioning. You can identify brand names even if you don't know them.

Moen is a good product
5/5

If the price is the same everywhere, is this a good value for money? Despite the fact that Lowe's and Home Depot were out of stock, Amazon came through in a pinch. The product was delivered in good condition without any The newer Moen brushed nickel finishes are identical to the original Moen BN finishes but differ from them. The color is a little brighter here. The finish, however, is nice. In terms of overflow cover and drain, it matches the current model of the BN Spout diverter that functions like most of them.

When I originally got the Moen spout, it was a screw-on type
3/5

I used to have a screw-on faucet, but the arrangement used on this one is different, it's a clamp-on. My method requires cutting the threaded part of the pipe (copper pipe) with a pipe cutter, then clamping it to the project using a screw to make this work. As a result, you cannot cut the threaded connector off with a saw, since the edges need to be clean so that you don't damage the olives. A seal is made up of this ring. While I am able to do this, I hesitate because I have never used the new system before. It appears as if this clamp could eventually come off under pressure whereas the threaded system is one that will never come off.

This product is of high quality and I am glad I was able to find a replacement for my 11-inch laptop Water was not diverting properly to the shower head from a Monticello spout that had been installed over a year ago
5/5

As it happened, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the replacement, even though I had anticipated a lower quality. I think it's sturdy and has a nice weight (unlike the cheap, light replacement spouts you find in hardware stores or Home Depot). A perfect match has been made between the existing fixture and finish. Water diverts well within a few minutes and the installation takes only a few minutes. There are only a few drops of water escaping the spout right This item is of very high quality and I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, I had to return to my home country, but the exchange experience was outstanding
5/5

Since I got the wrong part number (a plumber missed it) and therefore had to exchange it, I had to return it. I found this to be the perfect match to the color of I was impressed with how clean and quick the exchange was. Can't think of a better way to spend my life.

The installation process is simple
5/5

It had been about 15 years since the original spout was installed, and when it was replaced, it diverted water well. Water was just going down the drain before, and we couldn't believe how much was going down the drain. Pressure fit is easy to install.

Water was not diverted to the shower head in its entirety
3/5

Though it looks nice and was easy to install, the diverter did not divert all of the water to the shower head as advertised. Even after the diverter was pulled firmly up and the stopper was tightened, a steady trickle still came out of it. It would have been nice if this diverted 100% of the water (or at least 97%) because the installation was so easy. As soon as I returned it, there were no problems and I bought another Mixet diverter from one of the big box stores for half the price. It's also easy to install the Mixet diverter, and only a random drip came from it.
