Questions & Answers
It is a legal requirement that Kohler honors the lifetime warranty only if the original owner is the one who purchased the item. Do you really think Kohler would do that? As a result of being honest with myself, I made a mistake.
Having tested the assembly on a Kohler Fairfax Kitchen faucet, I can confirm that it fits and works just fine (PB = Polished Brass). The only difference between the letters at the end is the type of finish in my case, PB represents polished brass. I keep anticipating that it might fit, even though the model number is not the exact same.
By using this part, the water can be diverted from the faucet to the sprayer. It consists of a pair of k-rays As the sprayer is built into the faucet, it doesn't appear to be the right part for the 596 faucet.
In short, yes. On this Kohler Forte appliance, it was installed.

Despite my wife's best efforts, our Kohler kitchen faucet with sprayer attachment did not function as well as it should have. We noticed that the sprayer had a weak spray and water trickled from the faucet when we used it. It is likely an issue caused by a clogged diverter or one that has become worn out. As I waited for the diverter to arrive, I soaked the sprayer head in vinegar overnight. I was able to get my hands on it within 2 days because Amazon had it. Install the new diverter after removing the old one. Lubricate it and replace the old one. As a result, now the faucet and sprayer are in perfect working order, using the sprayer emits a good stream and there is You are encouraged to click "Yes" if your review was helpful to you, this will motivate me to continue writing and updating my reviews, and please leave me a comment if you have any questions. As for the fix, I recently attempted it and I'd like to share some advice. First of all, this part is discontinued by Kohler, so keep in mind that it is not readily No, you don't It's not necessary to shut off the water, but it makes sense to do so. You need to unscrew the faucet in order to find a C-shaped hole Easy to access retainer in the form of a clamp. To loosen it up, I used a tiny phillips (tiny) in one of the holes and worked lightly With a tiny flat head, I was able to While I do have the proper pliers for these types of clamps, the spaces between these tiny clamps and the faucet is so deep that my pliers could not reach them. * The next time you look in the hole, you'll see the diverter clearly. To get it out, I just had to stab it with a small flathead. There was a problem I agree with others who have stated that it might be. That is not the end of the world, however. In essence you are working with a piece of plastic inside a "bowl" of I'm not going anywhere with this If it's not there, you can pry at it till it's there. As soon as I connected the faucet stem to the water supply, I ran water through it to clean it out. My gaze fell on sand and dirt debris down there that I could not attempt to clear. Finally, I dropped in the diverter and (make sure you get it pointing the same way as the old one) and forcefully pressed it into place with the end of the screw driver. Ctrl-click to enlarge All you have to do is clamp back on. One thing that might help you is that the faucet does not use this part to function, so you won't have to worry about breaking it. If you just remove the old sprayer and do not install a new one then the sprayer will not work, but the faucet will work. 100% of the issue has been resolved. I have updated the dispenser and it works well Please type P. I had a strange set of symptoms In the beginning, I doubted the diverter. As soon as I turned on the faucet, the sprayer hose would get pressurized. Yet as soon as I pushed the button, the vacuum in the hose vanished. So I doubted the diverter.
I have one more quick & dirty trick to share. Replace a single component of a Kohler kitchen faucet quickly and easily. A slow response and some slow action had been bothering me I have an issue with the sprayer valve on a Forte Series kitchen faucet that sticks for a long time. After I had removed the faucet to replace the O-rings, I realized the faucet was leaking In addition to replacing all the rubber seals and nylon bearings on this diverter valve, I also replaced the old diverter valve. Simply popped out the old one and popped in the new one. It's easy and quick! Now that the sprayer is working again, it looks and feels like new. Also, it's OK I also replaced the bearing rings with nylon ones quite quickly and easily. If the part(s) you require are not on the Kohler web site, check your manual. Fixing a faucet is so much easier and so much less expensive than replacing the whole thing!.
Replaced this diverter on a Kohler Forte faucet with a spray hose using this replacement part. There was little pressure in the hose and most of the water was coming from the faucet rather than the spray hose when used. Several pieces of the diverter were missing, allowing the water to flow out of the faucet and resulting in a lack of water You will need a pair of snap ring pliers with 90° heads in order to remove the retaining clip that must be removed in order to work on.
We did not want to be without faucet until we received the part. Not sure how long this one will last since it is plastic, and this specific model of faucet is no longer available for purchase.
We searched youtube for the possible reason why the video isn't working. This appears to be a very specific part, since no how-to videos or videos were available for where and how to install a diverter just like this. This diverter is actually attached to the faucet itself. NOT the lever for hot or cold water. This is where the water comes out. I found the removal of the faucet to be very straightforward. However, we cannot say the same about the diverter. There were plastic pieces inside the faucet that had to be taken out by breaking them apart. You are ringing! then tighten up again. Thus far, the program is working great!.
We were very happy to have it working as it had stopped in December. In spite of this, I ordered another one in July. As a result, I was expecting a longer service life. In the past, I have to replace my diverter every few years on other faucets.
I had trouble with the retaining clip and took apart my faucet There's no way to tell if this is a manufacturing defect or a fake, but it's extremely.
