The copper spigot from the wall needs to be precisely sized to fit the 1/2" copper pipe (it won't fit 3/4 inch pipes). The process had to be trial and error for me to My car came from scratch and dented, so I did not get instructions.
Neither the spout nor the diverter are diverted.

It isn't my favorite thing to deal with plumbing, but I am The purpose of this purchase was to replace an old spout It was an old brand metal spout that looked very bad in both terms of style and chrome plating failure. In order to remove it, I had to unscrew my old spout. Originally, the nipples on this spout were too short, so I removed them and bought a new pair of nipples that were 1 Once I had everything ready for reassembling, I did so. The problem has been solved. I used the basics of plumbing 101 to ensure there are no leaks. In case you don't know how to do those basic skills, simply If you have a handy neighbor, you may ask him or her. The new spout looks great in comparison to my old one. It is recommended.
The spout has a heavy feel to it due to its quality construction. The new spout is much better than its predecessor, which was thin and light in weight. My favorite thing about this spout is how quietly it pours water into the tub, as opposed to the louder splashing of the 90 degree standard spout which splashes water all over the Overflow covers were rusted so I replaced 3 of them so I won't need to replace any more of them. I almost expected that getting out of the tub I would hit my leg on it since it sticks out further into the tub. However, so far, I haven't suffered any injuries from it. *This tub spout can be installed using a 1/2" screw on or a "slip on". I installed it using the 1/2" screw on. However, while our pipe was slightly shorter than recommended, it still screwed on and we have not experienced any strange If I had to buy it again, I sure would.
I like it. The spout looks great, is shiny, heavy and comes in attractive packaging. I like it. . That's a nice idea. BUT you have to have a minimum of four. To slide it on to, we installed a 5" long piece of 1/2 inch copper protruding from the wall. As a result, I had to sweat out an additional 2" to the top of the stub coming out of the wall. It seemed to take less effort to side on the spout if you rotate the hex set screw about 90 degrees (facing sideways). After rotating it, tighten the set screw to its final position in the down position (with the hexagonal set screw facing down). If the water is set to full heat, the spout emits about an inch column of water into your tub from a distance so great that you might want to keep an eye on your private parts. I don't care if it is hot, cold, or anything else satisfied with the.
So, something to be aware of. These slip-ons feature treaded applications as well as slip-on Be sure you loosen the allen bolt on bottom if the threads need to be exposed. If the allen bolt is tightened, the slip-on hardware will fall out. It is also vital that you determine the distance from the wall that the copper pipe extends. In my opinion, you need four or more. It measures 5 inches in width. Look for a backing plate if the gap is there and you should be fine. The piece is well done, and it is a very good value for that price. I will post a picture after I receive the backing plate tomorrow.
It is too wide for the threaded adapters on the end to fit on this spout. In addition, the pipe coming out of the wall is longer than most pipes.
I find this to be very This is a quality product made from heavy metal, not cheap like the rest. You are able to feel the difference in quality when you hold it. I found the installation process to be very easy. It did slip right on after we removed the existing threaded pipe and replaced it with a new coupling we purchased from Home Depot and a small nibble of copper.
I think this is awesome. Water cannot flow backwards into the wall when the best design is used. Cleaning the tub area is made easier with this product. This is a great price and a very useful product. It's a wonderful book that I recommend. It's a great piece of equipment from Kohler.
As described, the package is not what it is. The polished chrome was delivered but the brushed nickel was delivered. The item is of The item is being returned because I do not want to order and receive the exact item.
