Questions & Answers

it a slip of the tongue or is this a mistake Are there anchor bolts for the spout that you just tighten with an allen wrench? Can you tell me if the threaded type requires many pieces to be assembled ?

A bolt and allen key are required for installation. Simple as that!

What if you are not using a computer Can you tell me what Delta shower valve (American standard) I have?

No matter what brand of faucet you use, as long as the pipe is the right size, I don't give a damn about the brand

This tub and shower set will fit in my original Delta 600 series bathtub and shower ?

That should be the case.

Stubs must be kept for a certain length of time What would it be like to work with this product? My copper stub was too short & the seal barely held in the O-ring It ringed. ?

If there are stub outs, they should be within a range of A half-inch and a two-inch The wall is 7/8" away from the edge of the casing. You can simply trim the ends if it is too long. The stub will need to be cut off if it is too short and you will need to sweat or thread a new piece in its When soldering, use as small a flame as possible, remove any insulation in the wall cavity, and stuff wet rags inside the wall cavity so that the drywall does not ignite. Ensure that you have plenty of light so you can see what you are doing, and keep a fire extinguisher at hand. When soldering, use a small, narrow vise grip to hold on to the old and new stubs. In case you are not handy, then you'll need to call a plumber for about $200 to fix it.

A diverter drain with a "one size fits all" design
5/5

My plumbing outlet has a 1/2" pipe with a 3/4" male connection extending 3 inches. Finding a replacement diverter drain was hard because my pipe is threaded 3/4" male. There is a 7/16" gap between the wall and the frame. This is the faucet I chose because it has a variety of opinions and fittings. Upon receiving the parts, I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't need any of them. A female threaded front end mount on the drain diverter fitted perfectly, it required no cutting or soldering and it took less than 2 minutes to attach the thread tape and twist.

IMAGINE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE PLASTIC BREAKS ON THE INSIDE! This is a total waste of time
3/5

Four of the ten motel ones we bought have already broken in less than a week because the plastic interiors are not as strong as they should be. I strongly urge you not to do it!.

My 6 year old nearly was hit in the face by the pop off
3/5

My previous research before purchasing led me to read other reviews. There is a plastic part that breaks inside the tub spout, as someone reported. That was sad to hear, I thought maybe it was down to bad luck. If it was, then I was cursed to have the same break as him. One of the things that scared me about it was that it almost hit my six-year-old! I urge you to heed the previous warning and stay away from this site in order to save yourself not only the headache, but also the cost of a hospital visit.

OEM is the way to go
3/5

In the beginning, I attempted to replace only the diverter gate on my original (circa 1998) Moen bath faucet, but that remedy did not A bad leak was caused by the replacement that was not aligned properly. The Delta replacement faucet I bought was a great purchase. Originaly, it was a 1/2 inch slip-on. I immediately broke down in tears when I saw all the extra washers, adapters, etc. that were provided. It turned out that the 3/4-inch adapter did not fit properly on the faucet, and the tabs on the wall were slightly leaking. Having a leak in this place is not a good idea. As part of the installation instructions, a sheet of 3/4 adapter has to be sawed off I wouldn't do it today if I could go back in time. To check if the adapter fits without removing it I would pull it out. The fact that this product does not usually work proves once again that most universal repair products do not In honor of this, I spent the better part of today proving it. As a result, I bought a Moen faucet to replace the one I had lost.

The universal kit is of high quality
4/5

Almost all the supplies with this kit are included (except for a tubing cutter and an The system works with half-size files The threaded wall pipe is 3/4 inch, the smooth wall pipe is 1 inch The threaded pipe, or pipe with a threaded fitting on the end, must be at least 1 inch in diameter. There are clear instructions, showing the various installation options and parts used in a diagram and explaining them in straightforward My favorite thing about the product is that it is made of metal, and that the most important parts are made with attention to detail and seem robust. smooth pipes such as mine, it is crucial that the sealing collar slip across the pipe without much difficulty, but make a strong watertight seal and stay in place securely. In this kit, the collar is solid brass and there are rubber o-rings on it The set includes two rings inside and outside, in addition to a pair of glasses Attach via screw (allen key The wall end is) near the I am a heavy drinker There's a heavy duty plastic tube extension bolted to that (with Teflon tape on the threads at both ends), and the nicely cast metal spout screws on top of In addition to the fine finish, I noticed that the small plastic diverter gate inside the spout's end can be easily replaced if necessary.

The brand product you need is Buying generics from third parties is a waste of money
5/5

A generic tub spout I purchased from Home Depot had been cheap and didn't fit the tub Located in a store Stock that was half-priced -price of the Delta brand part (didn't have it - In stores). When I used the pull-down, it did not work It is best if you raise the shower head in order to divert water to it. Whenever you pulled the spout up, it would leak a lot of water. A few years later, I became tired of dealing with that, and I ended up buying the Delta brand replacement bathtub spout and replacing it with the crap one. While it was a bit more expensive, it is definitely worth it because it doesn't even leak a drop when pulled up. It didn't make sense that it would be water - The loose parts are kept in place by the pulley system There was an up tab attached to the tap, and when the water was on, and the tab was pulled up, the tap worked properly. I have used it several times and it has worked very well every single time.

I like the way it looks sturdy The problem is that it isn't user-friendly
3/5

There's no such thing as an easy DIY project, is there? Those who are familiar with this system may be surprised to find that all parts are made from strong, high-quality Although I eventually got the system operating properly, I had to put in a lot more work that I had expected. In comparison to this one, there are universal kits that are easier to install.

Instead of threading, the water line I have is made up of an area of copper pipe that extends out of the wall. In order to install this Delta spout on that type of pipe, you must first take a hacksaw and cut off the end of a "3/4" Adapter" that rests on the pipe between the Delta spout and the pipe. The 3/4" Adapter would not screw into the spout after I cut in a straight line between each thread. Before I could screw the 3/4" adapter in, I had to file the cut end to a very fine level, and I really had to force it to screw in. In my experience, having installed other types of universal faucet spouts from other makers, I can confirm that this hacksaw procedure is not standard. Any DIY product that requires you to modify it with a hacksaw before installation fails the "common sense design test," in my opinion. This is probably not a product I would purchase A greater number of user-generated content There are many options that are friendly.

Replace your shower and tub spigots with this great diverter shower & tub spigot
5/5

Using this tub/shower diverter spout as a replacement is a great idea. With a chrome finish and all metal construction, it looks great. It is true that there is a plastic "universal" pipe insert, but I would never use it. To extend the copper pipe threads on this diverter spout, I use a copper pipe extender. The best thing to do is buy a (copper) pipe extender to the exact length that you need based on the plumbing/wall depth you have. In the event of "slip-ups" This spout may be difficult for the average consumer to install because the pipe connections are not easy to fit. It would still be wise to get a copper fitting that extends to the metal threads of the diverter spout in this case. And I got mine (almost It's brand My new vehicle saved me some cash and is in like new condition. My search for warehouse deals has led me to many new, opened items which are good deals. It is especially evident with plumbing items and other household hardware items that people have returned after ordering the wrong item.
