It is the short spout, measuring approximately 5 inches long as opposed to the longer one. In the case of the brushed stainless steel version I ordered, it was two inches longer and fits our bathtub ten times better. Water will run over the top of the switch or lever and splash all over the tub, walls, floor, and the handle for the water if your edge is wide or you have an overflow drain switch that sticks out to close the drain. That's a waste of time. A problem continues to occur in which Amazon lists products with the same name that are apparently different versions of the same product with different finishes, colors, etc. These should be listed together as two separate listings since they are not the same product. Make sure to read all the text for an item when you click between finishes so you don't get a bad surprise like I did, as I had a plumber scheduled to install the item, so it was too late to switch it out. To conclude, Amazon should reduce the amount of extra content on product pages so users can easily see information about products rather than a long list of details. It is not possible to stop I give you two stars.
