Brett, I'm sorry to tell you that I throw away my one in disgust as soon as it arrives, so I can't actually check the size. A picture of a stylish ring depicts a clean metal design. As a result, I received a poorly molded plastic ring with a very distorted form and half a chroming that was rubbed off. Because I wanted this to be a quality piece of American equipment, I specifically purchased it from the USA, but I ended up with garbage. I am not sure it would be worth it even if there were 5 cents in Your money will be saved if you save it. DOES NOT FIT a Danco Spout sold on Amazon! Not even compatible with the Danco spout sold on Amazon! NOT A UNIVERSAL FIT! Fits this spout but not this cap This product is from Amazon Danco's Decorative Bathtub Faucet Spout with Pull Up Diverter, 6 Inch Long, Chrome Finish (10315)*. Click here for more information.
There is a chrome plated plastic ring on it. needed to find one made out of plastic specifically so I could cut the inside of it. I have a tub that has a pipe that emerges from the wall at an The tub spout won't sit flush against the wall after you put it on. Here is the ring that I got, and it's a 2 The inside of the ring had to be big enough to slip over the spout using a 5/8" hole saw. You can't tell there's a gap with just a little bit of caulk.
What I needed was NOT what I got. While the description noted this to be "brushed nickel", what was delivered was more along the lines of "chrome. " Because I assumed this was a fluke, I reordered, and Amazon sent me a free replacement without any problems, but it was exactly the same as what I received. It is easy to see in the pictures how different the brushed nickel spout is from the chrome ring. Buying is not a good idea.
The delta tub spout on my tub has been replaced. Originally there was a space between the new spout and the tiles, but this item filled that space and now it all looks like new.
The Danco 80764 spout was installed. There is a small knob made of chrome plated plastic that tightens and aligns the spout just enough.
Simple and inexpensive to install. It was also inexpensive since it was for a 1/2" screw on.
Sadly, it would not have been useful for my application, but I would have used it if it had been.
It seems to be reasonably well made and nice to look at.
