Over the years, I have searched for this replacement at many stores, including the website of the original producer, eBay, Lowe's, and Home Depot, using many It's impossible for me to find this little piece, because this type of faucet is no longer manufactured. In store trips to Lowe's and Home Depot had me desperate, but I knew the exact name of the thing I had to have from there - a It finally turned up on Amazon for me after I tried a Google search again. It was a wonderful surprise! It is the perfect fit - I ordered it without hesitation! There is less than $1 in it. Deliveries will be made on the second day if prime delivery is selected! The product is an original Kohler, so for those who complain that it is too expensive, what do you expect? I'll order a few more for my backups. It seems like everyone assumes that once this little piece is out there you need to replace the whole faucet the next time, which would cost at least.
Trying different things to fix a leak from the shower didn't work for me. The problem was first caused by this insert, which did not resolve it. My leak was stopped after I replaced the whole unit with a new mixer. Looking back, it was probably a worn out washer in the value that caused the problem. It seemed to be a 1$ fix, but I ended up spending 100 dollars. I recommend that you first replace the washer if you are here for a leak. The problem is almost never caused by the handle insert. You can test it by closing the handle screw with pliers and if the leak is still there, then the handle insert is probably faulty.
The design is very well thought out. There is a hard plastic component on the Shower Handle that helps keep it attached to the Shower Valve. Although there are no instructions for installation or safety, it's fairly simple to set up. This is something I love so much I chose to keep it even though a new shower handle and valve came with the new shower head. Having a backup will be useful since the other one might wear out after a few years. You've done it!.
I used this for my shower handle and it worked well. I found the price to be a bit steep for this little plastic piece. Perhaps I will order a second to carry as a back-up.
I needed exactly what you provided. This model was much easier to install and more durable than the one I had previously purchased which cracked after a few years.
The original plastic on the faucet wears away, causing the faucet to slip. The piece I needed could not be found on Amazon after numerous attempts. There weren't any local stores that carried the product. Three of the batteries I bought were It's cheaper to replace a faucet than to buy one new.
I expected it to work. Despite being 4 times more expensive than Kohler's website, I was able to get it and fix my faucet within two days, so I have no complaints.
I've been looking for these for a long time!.
