If you want to use this method for the hexagonal shape, make sure you remove your old white plastic (1/4" or smaller) piece from the pipe or cartridge before attaching the knob. Upon opening the package for this knob, you will see that it comes with a fresh plastic insert. In this case, the shape around the plastic piece is hexagonal, but the actual part that goes on your cartridge is diamond shaped. The answer IS YES.
There's a good chance that's the same faucet I have and that fits There were some fractures in the plastic and there was some looseness in the original.
As you can see, I simply inserted the knob into the stem shaft of the shut off valve which has a reciprocal thread for the screw to fit. In addition to the knob and screw, nothing else was provided. I could successfully install it with just the handle and a Defining the other part as a part of the shower valve would be a challenge. How long has it been since you broke your facet?
A single handle has to be on the faucet for it to work. Similar to the shower valve, the valve is located on the wall.

Hey, Shower knobs like this one are my favorite. However, I will return it to the sender. Would you not like to give us THE ONE PIECE of information we need, so we can decide whether this is the right move I would like to see the back of the knob, so I will be able to decide whether or not it will fit the The fact that you make us ask other customers if they think the logo is centered or offset, if it's circular or oval, and they have no idea, is annoying. However, it's not like you don't. WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU! Don't be shy, just show us! is also true for 80% of the other shower knobs you sell.
Besides not fitting the 1991 version of a Delta tub/shower stem, there is no problem with this handle. Changing the knob was so hard?! Who knew it was so hard? There is no knob that will fit my hex shaped stem for the bathtub or shower, so I wanted to change it. The RP17451 is specified as a replacement part for this Delta era product, so I called Delta. The model that was recommended has a diamond back and does not fit my hex stem, even though I explained the need for a hex stem-compatible knob. Delta's instructions don't appear to be explicit about what knob goes with I plan on dremeling out the diamond shape insert on the RP17451 so that it can be shaped into a hex shape. RP2391, the other model they recommend, has the diamond shape feature as well. No hex stem could be fitted to either. Delta Faucets says I should have the 600 series fixtures, but I am not sure if they are true or not. Neither the stem nor the mount will fit a hex-head! However, it is fine enough.
It was very simple to install once I realized that the plastic hexagonal piece that was attached to the end of the stem was not supposed to be there and should have been When I replaced the old handle, the hexagon insert remained attached to the stem since it had been installed over 20 years ago. Hence, when I removed the old handle, the hexagon insert was still in place. There isn't anything particularly hard about correcting this problem, but after doing a little research online it appears that there is a lot of bad advice and incorrect assumptions that this hexagon is meant to be there and that there is a replacement handle that will work. I have a simple solution Take the plastic hexagon off the stem by gently prying it off. The stem and hexagonal piece can be cleaned well with vinegar and water if it does not come off. Remove any residue that might cause the hexagon piece to stick by gently scraping it off. Try applying Goo Gone or something similar inside and around the hexagon. If it still won't come off, you can try applying acetone. The Q-shaped curve was used I used your tip for this, and it came off fairly easily, where initially it was difficult to remove. It was a snap to install this knob once the old hexagonal piece was removed from the stem. It just needs to be screwed into place and the cap snapped on. Using this technique, you can fix your cracked, unsightly handle for a very cheap price. This is a 5 star rating.
When I took off the old knob, I found a plastic hexagonal sleeve attached to the stem as previously reported by a previous reviewer. It requires removing the hexagonal sleeve from the Delta Knob RP17451 before installing the new knob since the hole is diamond shaped. By spraying WD40 on the hexagonal sleeve and applying pliers, I was able to remove it. It was said by one previous reviewer that the new knob needed a longer screw. To install the knob, I used the short screw that came with it. If Amazon or Delta included a photo of the inside of the knob, it would be nice. The knob must be pushed all the way on the stem, then the short screw will work fine. This would be helpful in determining whether the RP1745 Knob will be appropriate for you or not. Your information has been greatly appreciated by other reviewers.
I looked at my old faucet as if it were brand new once You probably won't be able to install it on your faucet because of It is easy to install this new piece by removing the old inside part of the stem.
Images of this product need to be improved. The single screw in the handle is not centered in the handle. The know I am replacing, though similar in appearance, does not fit the one I chose to replace. There is a problem with the screw- To fit a different style of faucet, the faucet is set at a center point and angles inward. The only thing I need to know now is which item to order- There is a handle on the center screw that I need. The new screw and the cap I used, but the handle that wouldn't fit in the hole I made was thrown away. My money was a total waste. A better picture of this product would make it more appealing to buyers.
An older shower knob in the rental property was leaking. It was told to me by the plumber what type of knob to install A couple of types were present. It was this model he told me to get, and we had it replaced it just came out of the box. Even after more than a year and a half, it continues to look great. During the plumbing job, the plumber told me there was one type, but I can't recall what it was A round screw could be used to attach the handle to the shower faucet. I would buy from them.
Here's a tip on installing it. This is really cool. There was no problem with the offset screw hole fitting my stem The following tips will help you install Before sliding the handle onto the stem, screw the handle into the hole in the The handle must be firmly secured to the stem before the screw can be fully engaged. Attach the handle by tightening the screw and lag it. Since the screw head provided by the manufacturer is SO WIDE, I had trouble reaching the stem straight up because the screw would press against the inside of the handle instead of engaging After I got the screw in the hole, that problem was resolved right away.
