Questions & Answers
Thank you for getting in touch with us. Avante handles are classified as "old style" if they were manufactured prior to 1981. If that's the case, this handle will help you out.
That's exactly what I did with it. To replace a Price-pfister knob that had become worn out.
This, I believe, merely replaces the previous one in which hot and cold are mixed.
Well. IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THE 974- IT WAS DESIGNED FOR THE 2920 VALVE! So, while I'm not sure, I'm guessing it won't fit a valve for which it wasn't designed.

Danco products are usually one of my favorites. It's the first time I've had a negative reaction to it. 1) The handle is difficult to turn when your hands are greasy from conditioner or soap. The original was shaped more like an octagon, with flat edges that made it easy to hold. This one is almost circular and has a lot of small sharp edges. br>2) The original center screw cover is 1/3 the size. As a result of the crystal, the ugliness of the faucet control shines through. To conceal it, I had to cover it with frosted scotch tape. br>3) The hot/cold indicator has a punch out that allows it to be positioned. Whatever position it was in, it was always hot on top. To make it indicate the temperature, I had to create my own notch 60 degrees rotated from the original. They could have made a couple of notches to allow for adjustments.
It looks good and is very similar to the original handle. When I tried to attach it with the screw, it kept spinning instead of seating snugly in the cartridge. I replaced it with the old handle's screw because I still had it, and it fit perfectly.
The Price Pfister Single Acrylic Avante Tub/Shower Handle 940- is the one I received. 950A, which has a much smaller "button" in the middle and a small red dot in the middle. The temperature is indicated by a blue ring. br>br>I believe Danco changed designs and I received old stock or even the wrong item when I purchased it compared to what was shown in the picture. It fits, but not in the way I had hoped.
This handle was designed to fit an older faucet that required a notch cut into the handle. I was unable to locate a suitable replacement locally. I was relieved to discover it on Amazon.
This is advertised as a replacement for Price Pfitzer faucets, but it does not fit the ones in my bathroom. My faucet's valve is rectangle, and the back connection is round. To ensure a proper match, the product's back should be displayed.
It's the handle to the shower. There's nothing earth-shattering here. I'm not familiar with plumbing, so when my handle began to crack near the base where it attaches to the cartridge stem, I removed it and took it to the hardware store, figuring I'd just get a replacement. Undoubtedly recognizing my befuddled expression, an employee came to my aid. I had no idea what she was saying at the time, but it didn't seem like it was going to be easy. This one was found on Amazon and it was a perfect fit.
is a company that manufactures and distributes industrial products Handle (88391) This was a perfect replacement for the one I broke. I'm glad I didn't need to hire a plumber.
The screws were too short, and they were also self-tapping. If they'd gotten to them, they would have ruined my threads. It'll be a fantastic replacement with new screws that are threaded properly. br>However, the end result is stunning.
