For my table saw, I needed to remove dust better. The air leaks in the saw have been blocked after it has been mounted on the saw and adapted to the saw. The shop vac is connected with a reducer connector to a dedicated shop vac. As far as the product is concerned, I am happy.
In fact, the Woodstock W1005 dust Collection Flange has a 4" dust port in the center and is marketed as a rubber flange. Four stars are awarded because the price is a bit steep for a product that appears to cost only a fraction of the retail price to make, but instead of giving this a low rating, just remember that you're going to get gouged on anything related to tools
Moreover, the quality is good considering that it's a hunk of molded plastic with a hose port in the center, so there's not much that could go wrong, and there is nothing that went wrong with the product. I installed this item underneath a very old, very rusty Sears table saw that I am trying to revive in a way similar to what happened in the The thing looks great and runs smooth as silk now that it has been disassembled, the rust removed and the sheet metal repaired, the arbor replaced and the trunnion bearings replaced. I painted it and it runs like a charm now! Unlike modern saws, these old saws were not designed with dust collectors in mind. As a result, the bottom is completely open, as is the back panel, as the belt drive from the motor comes in the back of the chassis, a terrible situation In its original form, it became quite a coughing fit simply from being in the shop for longer than several minutes with it running and tossing sawdust everywhere. Some dust collection modifications were therefore necessary. I built an adapter flange out of 1/4" plywood to completely cover the bottom because the flange was a little smaller than the base of the saw, which wasn't a big deal, but took some time to make it look like how the saw In such a long way, I think it is far better than just letting the sawdust pile up on the shop floor for it to do the job it is intended for. In my case, it was not an ideal installation, but it works just fine.
I am pleased with this product and would buy it.
Basically, it's just a piece of pvc that was flat. I don't think anything special has happened. It is perfect for the job I have it to do.
In this case, there is a 4 inch hole in a plate. My only accomplishment was installing a table at the bottom of my contractor saw because I was too lazy to build In all probability, I saved around 10 minutes of work, so I didn't actually work that much. There are three stars because the thing is more like a funnel than a cup. Using a 6-foot tube, I have a 1 HP delta dust collector hooked up just to this. More than 2 inches away from the center hole, it is not even close to pulling sawdust.
There is no change in results as it does the job it was designed to do, which is catch dust that falls straight Dust on the table top or dust that comes out of the back of the saw will not be captured. In addition, I had to make a "gasket" out of thin plywood on the underside of the saw because the shroud wouldn't quite fit inside the saw due to the trunnions getting in the way of the shroud. All things considered, this is really the main portion of the dust collection beneath the saw and it works quite well. My neck has been necked to a 2 We use a 1/2 in hose and it's great for catching bigger particles.
With a custom table saw and router table extension, the rollable table needed the clearance of dust vents that the dust collection vent included did not provide. I built a table saw with the dust collection vent fitted to the extension in order to fit my design. This was perfect for my needs. It is of good quality. There are no issues with It might be worth considering your clearance issues if you come across them like I did.
Flanges like this one are thinner than I thought they would be. The trick still worked, however.
Over the original, this is a better solution, since it is both stronger and fits the opening in the stand perfectly, and provides a better draw for the dust collector. I've been waiting for it for a long time.
