Selected User Reviews For DEWALT Table Saw for Jobsite, Compact, 8-1/4-Inch (DWE7485)
This device is incredible! I made a mobile work bench with a folding out feed for my first table saw project. I just need to incorporate some dust collection into the cart, and I'll be good to go.
When my 25-year-old daughter was in high school, year- bench from the past After my top Craftsman saw (10") died due to worn bearings, I looked into the current crop of portable saws. I was hesitant to use the 8-digit code. I used to be unhappy with my 1/4" bladed saw, but now I'm completely satisfied. The DeWalt is a tool that is reliable, powerful, and precise. The rack- It's easy to adjust the and-pinion fence. For 95% of all my work, solid and the integrated measurement bar is accurate enough. I only needed to micro-cut things when I needed them to be less than 1/32 inch accurate. Using a measuring stick, make the necessary adjustments. br>br>The smaller blade size was never an issue, and it actually allows for higher RPMs, which results in a cleaner cut through most materials.
With only one star ratings. When I bought it, I was a little sceptical. The table saw is one of my favorite tools. It's been about two weeks since I started using it. Dewalt has produced some of the best table saws in the industry. It's constructed in the same manner as the previous models. It's nice and solid! According to some reviews, it is made of plastic. I disagree vehemently. This saw has exceeded my expectations as a finish carpenter. The only thing I'm not sure about is which table saw stand will work with it. For the past week, I've been looking for one.
I'm 57- yrs- old and have always used a hand, circular, or other type of saw to make the cuts required; Table saws, I used to think, were too complicated and should only be used by professionals, such as my oldest brother. I wish I could do what he does with wood. Anyway, the only thing that could be improved are the instructions for newbies such as myself. Read them all the way through because there are a couple of instructions you should know about, such as removing the riving/non-riving/non-riving/non-riving/non-riving Before attaching the through-hole safety feature, cut through it. Behind the blade, cut a piece of wood. *I'm sorry, but I still don't understand everything. This would be a 5-star product if it came with a video or DVD disc that showed how to set it up and use it. Deserving of a star. There are videos on YouTube for other models, but not for this one. I'm not sure I'll ever figure out everything this little saw is capable of, but I enjoy it.
Regret is a part of my daily life. This is fantastic in almost every way. If you're a carpenter who builds houses or decks, this will come in handy. If you want to build cool things in your garage as a woodworker, you will quickly regret your purchase. This saw isn't compatible with dado blades, which is a big deal for a woodworker. There are a few other minor tweaks I'd like to make, but they're minor in comparison. Recommend purchasing a different brand of woodworking tools for a woodworker. Products from SKIL and Rigid, for example, come with a lifetime warranty and are often less expensive. I was a newbie at the time, so I jumped without thinking.
If you're a contractor, this is a must-have because it's so light and easy to transport. This is something I highly recommend as a contractor! This is the proper table saw if you want more power. I have a battery operated one that is the same size. Thank you, Dewalt, for yet another excellent table saw!.
I've only had a few opportunities to cut this thing so far. So far, everything appears to be in order. By a factor of 0 the blade was crooked. 1 degree. Although some of the adjustment screws were placed in awkward places, it was fairly simple to adjust. Also out of alignment is the riving knife. I haven't gotten that tried up yet, but it's close enough that it shouldn't be a problem right now. In addition, the fence was misaligned. Needless to say, I had to make a few minor adjustments right out of the box. Aside from that, it appears to be a good saw.
It's a beautiful machine, and it's the first table saw I've ever owned. br>br>So it's been about a month since I've had it. And I think I've used it about five or six times now. The top layer has been scratched already. I didn't use any sleds, jigs, or other tools other than the miter gauge that came with it.
