Apparently, the blade thickness is adjustable, but I cannot figure out what he means by "like the bay city". This makes no sense in relation to what we're talking about.

However, the product is misrepresented in the This listing contains photos of various versions of this tool. The photos have been based on the Hongdui version, as well as photos from the There are beveled edges along the top of the gold colored part of the Hongdui, but not on this tool. It appears on some photos that the bevel is present. Even one of the photos shows a Hongdui tool on the page, but in reality, it's not *sigh* *sigh* Ratings. The star is deducted for misrepresentation(shame on Mrs. Bad! It's a straight-up copy of Bridge City Kerfmaker. )
5 stars for functionality and usability!
Let's face it, any of these tools is a copy. Bridge City would have more customers if they didn't charge such an outrageous price, and they wouldn't have to sell knockoff products from China I am offended. The way things are, such is the way of the world, and people don't want to pay more than what they think It doesn't matter what the manufacturer is. There is no doubt that this tool is well manufactured and has a nice finish that will work properly as designed. Because it doesn't operate particularly complicatedly, there aren't many things it can go wrong with. As it has no defects, I do not see any reason to return it. In addition, it was an affordable item when I bought it, because it was $8 to $13 cheaper than others offered on Amazon. Mrs Bad, a note. The tool is in a state of its own, so I do not need to cover it up. Making a fool of yourself just makes you look bad. I am sure it will still sell if the photos are fixed. There needs to be a fix to Amazon's photos brought up by a vendor.
Appearances suggest that it should be sturdy. I had ordered a cheaper one and returned it to go for this one instead. In the first case the measurements were not taken after the slide slipped in the second case. After measuring the kerfs, it's a little stiff, but we will see how it goes as we use it. The majority of them look identical, and it may be that they are all made by the same manufacturer. Whatever the case may be, the statement is Tool junkies like me are burning a hole in their pockets due to lack of money.
In this case the thumb screw came off the internal set screw, which rendered the lock inoperative. After removing the lock and reassembling it (using metric Allen keys), I applied a few drops of REUSABLE Locktite (#242). Once again, everything seems to be working fine.
The kerf maker does what it is supposed to do, but I had to research it's function on YouTube in order to learn how to use it because there was no instruction. This game is docked one star because you must be careful when tightening it down or it will lock up.
It works as expected, is accurate, and the price is fair. It has been smooth sailing for me so far.
THE EXPECTATIONS WERE HIGH. I HAVE ALREADY BROKE THE TOOL I'VE ONLY used it a few times.
