How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

This is the most portable saw in its class, thanks to its low unit weight of 22 kilograms and small footprint. For beveled cuts, the shoe bevels are 0 to 45
This well-designed power saw includes a steel roll cage that prevents the saw from being dropped on the job site, a rack and pinion fence system, a front and rear fence lock, and large, clear scales, giving it an extremely accurate and easy-to-use design.
The motor delivers high performance in all applications with a power of 1850 Watts. The maximum rip to the left of the blade is 12 inches. Approximately 20 inches from the right side of the blade to the rip
Cutting edges made with micro grain carbide produce extremely sharp edges that reduce splintering dramatically
With laser cut bodies, precise cuts can be made with extreme accuracy

Questions & Answers

Would this be too much or is it more appropriate to cut wood laminate flooring this way?

In addition to using a Miter saw to install laminate flooring, I used a floor buffer for repairs. The cost is much less, and some of these machines have the ability to cut corner cuts on walls which are not square when the blades are quickly adjusted. Clearly this saw is going to work, it's an excellent You need to determine whether the flooring is overkill based on your budget and if it's the only use for

Can this saw be used to cut dadoes? Are they thick? If so, how thick are they?

There are multiple review sites for different models, but they are all concentrating on one place? The manual that I found online for it indicates that it is intended for dado cuts up to 13/16". I am reading it under the DWE4790X listing and it says it is intended for dado cuts up to 13/16".

When you raise or lower the blade, how does it work?

I am not being smart-assed or anything, so do not take offense if I have to explain how to raise and lower the blade. Make sure you read the instructions and thoroughly get familiar with how to use this machine before using it for the first time. You should read the instructions until you have a clear understanding of what you need to do. It is very important to use the riving knife in order to prevent kickback (VERY DANGEROUS).

Is it easy to rip two 2X6x10 sheets of lumber into one 1X6x10 sheet? Thanks a lot. ?

The text has been partially rewritten 2x4s are sawn A Freud blade installed just a few days ago had difficulty pushing relatively short lengths of wood through the internal tensions within the wood. Because I was using casehardened lumber for the first time, the blade was actually pulled off line due to the pinching it started mid-way through the cut I cut him. It's also possible to cut from both sides with well seasoned 2x6 lumber, but if the lumber is mass-produced kiln-dried/big box, I think buying 1x6 is ultimately the more economical choice since perfect refinishing wood costs more. A 2x6 sawed in two will most likely yield boards that are just 1/2" thick.

The safety guard components of this product present a potentially dangerous risk
3/5

The saw I have is a Dewalt and I love it. The book is still in my possession. There are a few glitches, however, such as cuts being very good and high quality. A safety guard and its The plastic blade guard had to come off but the rip fence guard remained on since I had tall pieces to cut. Often called a rip fence, it consists of an angled piece with serrated edges that sits behind the blade of the saw. As a protection measure, the rip fence guard is permanently attached to the fence. Before I began to saw wood, I made sure that all guards were firmly in place. It's the beginning of the winter season. I've been cutting My chest was hit by the metal guard of the rip fence after the saw fell and loosened It's boom time! Thanks to my goggles, dust mask, and hearing protection, I was protected. As my chest hurt, I rechecked the procedure, consulted the manual, and retested again. I believed I had not secured this part well. It all seems to be fine. Having restarted the saw, I began cutting It's boom time! My chest once again swelled with a flying missile! This is unbelievable. Upon calling DeWalt, I was taken around for a long time. A good deal of anger was flowing through me. There are $400 in goods and I am assaulted by them. In the coming days, the Attorney General will be notified of this matter. Likewise, the FTC is also a government agency. I have an attorney as well. There will be a dialogue between Dewalt and me, an apology, compensation for my injuries, and a fix for the saw or a refund. It is a manufacturing issue that extends beyond the seller, but it is hoped that he is now aware of it. It is suggested that you wear some protection, and then test out the product by standing to the side with the guard on and then taking it There is no way to remove the plastic guard while it is on. As soon as you remove the plastic guard but do not remove the rip fence guard, the issue occurs. The user guide, however, explains how to do so. As a result, it is a defect. Be very Feel free to reach out to me if this happens to you.

Overall, this is a good value
3/5

It is likely the best saw on the market for the money, but there have already been many glowing reviews, and I will list some cons as well.

1. The majority of the dust accumulates underneath the unit, whereas less than 10% of it leaves through the exhaust port. Please note "2. In fact, there is no flat surface under the table, so you cannot clamp anything on it (such as a feather board). In order to anchor the clamp anchored to the 1" tubular steel frame, I had to build it as long as the table is high. 1. 2. 3. As bad as some people make it out to be, the miter gauge isn't the worst. However, you do need to attach an auxiliary fence to it (there is a hole for your screw, but be careful as the gauge is plastic) as clamping it directly tends to lift the gauge.

This is fantastic
4/5

Table saws like this are very useful. So I can run full sheets through it, I have it sitting flush with my workbench. The parts are all of good quality and I haven't had any malfunctions in the past two months. There is only one thing that I'm unhappy about the dust collection fitting is not easy to get with a shop vac. Yes, I realize that this is a portable table saw, but just for the love of God, I think there has to be an easier way to attach the hose to these Dewalt After reviewing the adapter options, I still cannot find one that works by default. There has never been a solution I have seen that was not I find it impossible to make sense of this.

Great, but there is one problem
3/5

Initially, I had high hopes for this saw, but I was forced to return it, as well as its replacement, for the same reason. Within a few days, I experienced a grinding and binding of the blade raising and lowering mechanism, which made it difficult to turn, and caused sudden drops or other unexpected events. And the problem got worse with I returned it for a replacement to be sure it was not a fluke. In just a few days, the new unit started developing the same problem as the old one. I was very disappointed at this turn of events, as I was really satisfied with the saw, but was forced to return. Quality control at DeWalt needs to be reevaluated. Two saws with the same issue are unlikely to occur, unless there is a QC problem that led to the rapid development of the misalignment. We have been very pleased with the Amazon return policy and procedures. It is not yet clear what kind of saw you should buy.

Those who saw the great saw
5/5

I really love it! This saw is fantastic! I am in love with it! Over the course of 20 years, I used a great old Craftsman table saw- The two are as solid as they can be, but heavy as anvils. The thing would have stayed if I had a barn or large work shop to store it in. The problem with our garage is that it is a simple, ordinary structure, and I had to store the heavy, cast-iron beast in an inconvenient location. Because of that, there was little point in pulling it apart and putting it back together. The majority of the time I just made do with some less suitable saw just to avoid the hassle, even if I really should have used that. When I finally realized the light had come, I sold my old Craftsman and bought the DW745 instead. I enjoy using my tool but it's not perfect A model with a larger, more powerful computer would appeal to the geek side The DW7480 in my case) and I disciplined myself to purchase the model that could match my real needs - My situation is both small and lighter, which makes the small size and lighter weight an excellent match for my needs. I enjoy most of the features of this fence system, but my favorite is the rack and pinyon fence system. The only complaint I have is that it is challenging to adjust the riving knife due to easy access to the screws. This is not an issue very often, however. Aside from that, I built a small "break-in" box In the down-stroke I produced an "adjustable" stand for this saw so that I could set it at the exact height I preferred for the job. In addition to being customized to my needs, it cost half of what the "official" De Walt stand for this saw would cost. The best thing was that the saw had its own stand, so it was fun to use it!.
