Product Description

Three speed settings permit you to work at reduced power if you like, while the top-mounted speed switch allows you to use more power when necessary
THE P238 features a pistol grip overmolded with rubber that increases friction between the tool and your hand, giving you increased control in slippery conditions
With the LED lighting below the Keyless Chuck, shadows will not be cast on your work subject, affording you the time and space to remain focused on the work at hand.
With the handy belt clip, you will be able to keep this with you the whole day. So your hands are free to handle other work while you can readily access the impact driver
COMPATIBLE WITH THE ONE+ LINE OF BATTERIES This tool is compatible with Ryobi's 18V BB series batteries. A number of models, including the P100, P102, P103, P104, P105, P107, and P108, are compatible

Questions & Answers

What do you think is the better of the two options? What model of Ryobi 238 do you have in mind? What about the ?

However, the fact that there was a 3 speed selector switch on the 238 was the only thing that ultimately influenced my decision to buy it over the 239 with its variable speed trigger.

My belt clip arrived with no screw, but I just noticed after checking it out it was missing the screw. Where can I find replacement screws on Amazon?

It is unfortunately not possible to replace the screw with Amazon. You can get a refund from Amazon if that is the best option. We have an easy way for people who don't want to go through the refund/return process. If you want to buy the tool, go to a store like Lowes or Home Depot and look for fasteners. Your store representative will point you in the right direction for a screw that will fit in perfectly in

The Ryobi p197 battery one + is compatible with the Ryobi p238 18v one+?

Each unit that uses an 18v one+ battery should be able to swap out a battery with another unit. On my p238 I've been using the old battery from the 18v one+ I used to have on an older Ryobi drill (about 8 years old).

Do you have the option to vary the speed of the trigger or does it have only three settings?

There is an option for varying the speed, at least for loosening bolts etc one can control how much torque to apply and how fast to do it without having to choose a preset.

Nonetheless, this is how it is Ryobi has been my brand of DIY tools for years, so when I got a new job in which I was responsible for providing all my own tools, I kept Luckily, I managed to score this for $75 when it was on sale
5/5

Models like this are fantastic. My favorite part of this tool is that it has three speeds for when I want Nevertheless, it is always high when it is on top. You need to pay attention! There's quite a bit of power here. While my work colleagues all have Dewalt power tools, my Ryobi isn't just comparable, it performs exactly the same and my batteries are lasting longer than theirs. My ladder is six feet high, but I dropped it off the top. Please do not do what I did. During the impact, it landed on part of the top back. Bounced back. The ball flew through the air and touched down on the concrete floor of the garage. It is in very good condition with no blemishes. In addition, I bought this because it was on sale and I had a lot of batteries that I was going to use until they ran out, at which point I would have to switch to a Dewalt. But I will not In spite of its limitations, I would buy this at the higher price if it died today. It is a monster that hasn't let me down yet. As well as giving full juice until they are completely dead, Ryobi batteries are one of my favorites. One battery running out of power isn't an issue for me since back up batteries are there. Additionally, it prevents me from trying to push it with a low battery so as not to damage it. If the guys at work are using my Ryobi, and they all have Dewalts, and have also been working on garages for many more years than me, then it says a lot about my Ryobi. Initially I used a Dewalt kit for training as it was a company-supplied kit and I could not tell any difference in power when I switched to a 1)
And at a lower price than the "big" brands, it's a no brainer for any size project.
I carry 2 18v ion+ 1 battery. Just in case I have a 4 amp on the truck, I have a battery with a power of 5 amps in the tool bag. It's possible for me to do every single step of an installation with just one. A battery with a 5 amp rating. In addition, I have a bunch of "cool" toys on my wish list the likes of a router, a jigsaw, and lights and fans. To be honest, I would wait until batteries go on sale first. It's one of those big chargers that can charge six batteries at the same time! I have owned these batteries for several years and only one has failed (went bad immediately). The others haven't suffered even though I use them without fully draining them all the time. I own a drill, circular saw, and reciprocating saw, and I've never regretted switching.

Is there any way that I could have gone so long without an impact driver in my life? Over the years, I've wasted a lot of time (and stripped screws)
5/5

As a result, I'm not enough careful when drilling holes, otherwise I'll strip the screws. Or worse, I'll countersink the screw too much and ruin it. At the time, I wish I'd had an impact driver like this. I guess I will have to deal with this. We have learned from this experience. After I decided to buy one of these because I've been doing a lot more driving lately due to my remodeling work, I finally got one. It is amazing how much difference there is! Both at night and during the I went lickety split on a task that used to take me hours and frustrate me to no end (laying down a layer of subfloor). You should have seen me as I drove lag bolts during that first day. I had normally driven a 1/2" x 4" lag in about 2 seconds using my drill mostly to get it there and then a ratchet to hand tighten it once the drill could no longer drive it. With this I was able to drive it in about 2 The fact that I made sure it was snug up well took maybe three seconds. My favorite part was that it At that point, I think I fell in love with it.

There are three adjustable settings, and the lights are excellent
5/5

I don't have anything to complain about here, I buy Ryobi stuff for work because it is pretty cheap and I never seem to have any problems with it. In my case, I only need to charge the battery twice a day for multiple 10 hour shifts. I use 4ah As a first-time Ryobi impact purchase, I was somewhat disappointed, as it was an older model, not brushless, didn't have variable settings, didn't have a magnetic bit holder or tray, and it didn't have a I was able to fix them all with this. The look and feel of this bag are fantastic, and I'd happily buy it again if mine ever became damaged.

This is a very powerful speech
5/5

Thank you for your purchase. I am extremely satisfied with it. I'm very pleased with it. It's powerful and I was surprised to find it's very quiet compared to other cordless drills. The best solution for keeping your ears safe would be to use some type of hearing protection when using it for prolonged periods of time. It is possible to get a version of this product without 3 speed settings but it is worth the money to have the additional setting since it is very easy to override them If you are not careful, the screw will fall out. yet another review, the variable speed trigger appeared to work at all 3 speeds and is definitely a necessity if you plan to start Excellent product. I highly recommend it.
