Yes, you can choose between three different speed/tork settings. The drill's auto mode is a separate or fourth option. It's a tough little blow.
China produces the impact that I purchased. I'm not sure if any Makita impacts are still manufactured in Japan.
Yes, and there are two of them.
Yes, I believe that is correct.

This is a powerful tool that is easy to overlook. Tool. I'm not sure how much time I'll have to devote to this. In fact, I haven't even used up one of the batteries yet, but I think it'll be perfect; it usually removes lug nuts from both of my Subarus and even my F 350 van's lug nuts. I'll probably use it to drive sheet metal screws for the majority of the time. And there's a lot less torque when tightening and loosening. The seller, on the other hand, folds down the lug nuts. They did not respond even after I contacted them. Resolve my initial grievances with them. Their photos clearly show that it would be delivered in a box, with a manufacturer's instruction and warranty booklet included. What I got was a bear tool enclosed in a double bubble wrap USPS envelope. I would advise you to purchase this tool, but from a different vendor. br>Latul is a well-balanced individual. Also, the buttons and controls are strategically placed. The unit of my dreams. This one, for example. It's lit by two LEDs. Wicked has one at the bottom. Add a third on top of that. Frequently, the screw you're trying to drive is obscured by the single LED on the bottom.
I've been using Makita impact drivers for about 14 years (I'm an HVAC technician), and I've thrown out a couple, lost a couple, and had one stolen. This is the best of the best; it's light, powerful (in that setting), and delicate (in that setting). The batteries last a long time, and it's not too expensive; this is the best value I've ever experienced with any of the tools I've bought. With this one, Makita hit the ball out of the park. I would strongly suggest it.
Makita products are something I use on a daily basis. Please keep in mind that I've also used Milwalkee, Dewalt, Hilti, and Bosch tools. This has a quick and powerful effect. At times, I believe it moves almost too quickly. When dealing with smaller screws that would normally snap off at higher speeds, the multi speeds come in handy. I believe this is a great product to compete with the new Hilti products on the market without the Hilti price$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ There's also a tapping option, which I'd call it. The gun drills quickly and then slows down when it encounters resistance on the tech screw. On this tiny, light-weight gun, there are almost too many settings and options. The best value for your money! This impact gun comes highly recommended by me.
Makita produces a variety of impact drivers, of which we have four. This is the one that runs the smoothest of them all. It performs exactly as expected, operating in a self-contained manner. Drilling the screw at a high speed, then slowing down and applying the impact torque to properly tighten the fastener. It's even a tad quieter than the previous versions. Makita, thank you!.
Right out of the box, I swapped it for this one (xdt14). My six-year-old son was able to easily drive 7" GRK RSS lag screws, which is quite impressive. And then there's the speed. I haven't tried the other modes yet, but they appear to be very impressive. I'll update the review as soon as I have more information.
In the last seven years, I've had three. This new model is fancy and BADASS! (they don't fall to concrete from a height of 20 feet well) The new features assist me, and Makita is tough and resilient, taking a beating and running, running, running!! They're also improving the impacts and adding more cool features to the 18v and 36v systems. It's a good thing I went to Makita 12 years ago!.
It's nice to have that extra speed, but it's not worth the additional $70.
The battery life is absolutely incredible! Incredibly powerful in a compact form factor. I really like the LED. My son (a home security system installer) took mine and refused to return it! The only remaining question is how long it will last. After about five years of heavy use, I'll try to remember to add more to this!.
