Questions & Answers

What is the torque in inch pounds?

It specifies a maximum weight of 530 pounds.

Is there a way to get this off the floor?

There is only one handle, which is located where the trigger is located; there are no side handles.

Will this be all right? Is it possible to use a drill bit in an angle driver's chuck?

It is necessary to use a 1/4 inch Hex shank (or an adapter). The hex shank must also have the same shaft depression as the Makita bits, or else the bit will fall out of the driver during downward drilling operations. I haven't seen quarter-inch hex shanks on high-end bits (carbide, carbon, and so on), but I haven't looked for them either. Perhaps they can be found.

does the three. Is it possible to use this tool with no batteries?

This Makita 18V tool is one of my favorites. On my Makita 3, it works perfectly. Batteries from the 0 series. Please keep in mind that I don't have any "aftermarket" batteries. All of the Makita tool batteries I own were purchased from Makita tool retailers. I've read a lot of negative feedback about aftermarket batteries that are sold as low-cost alternatives to name-brand batteries.

This is a fantastic resource
5/5

I wasn't sure if I should get this or not- The most suitable- It's a specialized tool with an expensive price tag because of the angle head. br>br>But I'm glad I got it. Even if you don't need the right-hand drive, it's a great driver. Head at an angle. And then there's the time when you'll actually need it. It's far superior to any of the other options I've considered. It's much better than any of my other screwdrivers at driving screws. br>br> This is a huge improvement. The only drawback is that there is no torque setting, so you must exercise extreme caution: It'll be too late. In a flash, the screws were sunk, and a few screws were broken off as well. All of this is my fault: it gives you a strong sense of control and precision, but you must be careful not to overdo it. Pull the trigger (pun intended). br>br> Buy this! I can assure you that if you think you might need it, you will, and you will be glad you have it.

When It's All About Size The following is a general overview that has not been put to the test in the field
4/5

Makita's XLT01Z 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Tool is a powerful 18V LXT Lithium-Ion Tool. The fit and finish on the Ion Cordless Angle Impact Driver were excellent. The Makita BL1830 Nicad Battery we had on hand powered it right up. If you have a few of the older style batteries on hand, you can use them instead of the more expensive XLT01Z Lithium-Ion batteries. Packets of ions It's a little long, but that's a good thing because it allows for a good fulcrum pivot point, which helps with contact pressure in tight places. I used a 1-inch ruler to measure the height of the head. The head height is described as being 2" in the description. 1/8". When the included Phillips Apex is installed, the height is restored to 2-inches. 1/8". The included low profile two headed Phillips Apex is essential for tight spaces; unfortunately, I do not have the part number.

Almost without a head! In addition, it is an IMPACT driver
5/5

What a way to get into a bind! And it has a significant impact. How many times have you tried other right angle drills with large chucks only to discover that you didn't have enough leverage in a tight space to simply send a screw home? And now, for most screw sinking operations, we have impact drivers that don't pop out of the head when the going gets tough and almost never ruin the screw head. So here we have a great right angle tool with almost no head dimension, allowing us to get into even tighter spaces, and it's IMPACT drive, which is fantastic! Love it. br>br>I'm also a big Makita cordless tool fan now, because they have such a great lineup of well-designed and powerful cordless tools. br>br>I'm a 40-year finish carpenter who enjoys this work!.

This is what I use at work on F- 16s
5/5

At work, I use this angle impact driver on a regular basis, and it saves me a lot of time. Previously, we had to use a ratchet to remove panel screws, which was a slow and painful process. Our tool guy put these in the aircraft tool boxes, and it was a breeze to remove and install the panels. I bought one for my rental house maintenance toolkit on Amazon because it worked so well, and I'm looking forward to using it to drive screws in tight places.

Any store would benefit from having this item
4/5

I bought this to work on cars, and it's great because I already have a bunch of Makita drills and drivers (all of which use the same 18V battery). It has a lot of force for its size, producing around 40 ft lbs. My only criticism is directed at Amazon, as it is clear that this was not a brand-new item; rather, it appeared that someone had ordered it, used it once, and then returned it. It was all there and it worked fine, but I wasn't thrilled to find a retaped box, a bit ripped out of its bag, and other such messes.

It was so much better before! I'm not sure why everyone is so enthusiastic about this tool, but as a professional woodworker with nearly 20 years of experience, I can't think of anything I like about it besides the compact head and light weight
3/5

All of its advantages are being wiped out by the battery. Don't even think about it if you have a small head - You can't fit the battery inside the small cabinet because it's too big. Even if the space is sufficient, the tool's height must be considered.

Torque to the max
5/5

I rarely give 5 stars, but this time I did. As a professional woodworker with a variety of cordless tools, drills, and impact drivers (roughly 12 different models), I can attest that the XLT01Z is extremely powerful and torque-rich. I've got a dozen XLT batteries and a fleet of XLT tools. The majority of the time, 5 Amp hours are used. Put a 5-volt battery that has just been charged. A 3" x 10 Hillman deck screw was used to test this angle driver with a 0 Ahr bat. It smashed it into two 2x4s and sank beneath the surface without a pause. It was just as simple in reverse. The large paddle trigger on the driver's side made it simple to slow down and stop when needed. The forward/reverse selector switch is the only drawback. Toggling left and right for forward and reverse is usually done with my thumb and index finger. However, this switch is located behind the trigger hand, near the battery. This is a serious case of human error. Especially when suckling down the wood with frequent forward and reverse movements - I'm sure you get the idea. Those who believe it lacks torque should know that it is not an air impact for automotive work. It's a dream come true for cabinet and furniture makers.

It works well, but it isn't very powerful
4/5

It works well, but it isn't very powerful. Probably 15% of the time, I have to start a screw with this driver and then switch to a non-driver. Finish driving at a 90-degree angle. The power appears to be limited due to the 90-degree design. However, because of the tight spaces I frequently find myself in, I have no choice but to start with this driver and then switch to a larger driver if it fails to get me enough clearance.
