Unfortunately, we do not make a bit for this tool that is suitable for working with cement backer board.
It didn't come with a hard case, but it did come with a Dewalt bag in which to carry it.
At 26,000 and 33,000 rpm, and with that small a diameter, I don't think you'll notice any slowing or difference in speed. However, the one with the longest-lasting battery is the one you want.

After many years of service, my Rotozip died, and I came across this while searching for a replacement. I was on the fence about buying this because the Rotozip had done such a good job for me and it isn't a cheap tool. It turned out to be a good purchase after a few months of use. This is a fantastic tool. In a cordless, I had all of the power I had with the Rotozip. Sheetrock, ceiling tile, and paneling are some of the most common things I use it for. The Rotozip bits all fit perfectly, and the tool does not require any tools to change them. The switch is a little difficult to get used to at first because mine was extremely stiff. Because I was pushing so hard and it wouldn't budge, I initially believed there was some safety. The tightness was gone after the first day, and everything has been fine since then. It comes with a smaller version of the Dewalt battery, but it will accept the larger one from your drills and impacts if you have them. When hanging Sheetrock all day and cutting outlets and can lights, the small battery lasts about half of the day. The strange thing about the battery is that when it's dying, it appears to be going near full speed before suddenly stopping. Like some of the older tools, there isn't much of a warning that it's low. The large battery runs continuously throughout the day. I haven't tried it yet, so I'm not sure if it works the same way. The tool is also fairly light, which is beneficial when working at a high altitude all day. It also isn't overly loud. I like it a lot and wouldn't change much except that it needs a clip to hang from my tool belt, even if it's just an accessory clip. Right now, I just use a long HVAC zip tie and tie it loosely around the tool and hang it from a hook on my belt. It's not perfect, but it works. I haven't yet dropped it.
Two batteries were included, as well as everything shown in the photos. The only thing it lacked was a tool for adjusting the hole, but everything else was perfect.
This worked well for cutting drywall sheets to fit patching holes as well. The key is to practice a little first, then draw out your shape clearly before cutting, and you should be fine. This tool was also useful for trimming drywall shapes by running the drill bit along the edges that didn't fit quite right. The complete kit was ideal for my drywall projects and came with everything I needed to get started. There is no need for any additional materials. br>br>The batteries aren't interchangeable with the old DeWalt Lithium 18W batteries, so make sure you're ready to upgrade to these lighter 20W batteries that won't work with your old DeWalt tools. It took a few tries to figure out how to load bits on this device, but once you do, you should be fine.
This seemed like a good purchase to me. I had previously used one, but it was of a different brand (Home Depots - Milwaukee is a city in Wisconsin. I figured I'd save $100 by going with the Dewalt brand because I've always liked and used their tools. I would not recommend this book because I found it to be lacking in every way. It was used to make drywall holes. It took me longer to make cuts because the speed was slower, and it eventually broke down, leaving me unable to remove the bits. I returned it and went out to get the one I should have gotten the first time around.
Ladies, if you've been waiting for him to finish a project for a long time, buy him a new power tool and watch how quickly he finishes it! br>br>The job went FAST, and the husband couldn't believe how simple it was to use. It cut cleanly, easily, and quickly, according to him. That's all I know about it. That's good enough for me. PS: He's a huge fan of DeWalt.
On the first use, the drywall bit broke with little to no force on 1/2 inch drywall. The Drywall Utility Device is now essentially a paperweight garbage stick to me until I purchase new drywall bits for my brand new device; it only drilled a hole in the drywall before the bit snapped, earning it a one-star rating. If you're supplying faulty equipment, I believe you should give it a higher discount or at the very least send more bits. It's a good thing I was making a YouTube review video about it because I wouldn't have had anything to show for it if I hadn't.
This is a fantastic tool that I use to cut out drywall on occasion. The LED is extremely useful, and the fact that it is cordless makes it even more so. Because of the tool's nature (extremely high rpm), it vibrates slightly in the handle and is quite loud. Although the bit change locking mechanism appears to be underdeveloped, it has no effect on the tool's functionality. This is a tool that I would highly recommend and would buy again. The corded tool, on the other hand, would be a much more cost-effective option (less than half the price) for the occasional user.
I'm proud to add this tool to my toolbox because I needed to replace some drywall due to heavy rains in San Diego, and this tool made the job a breeze. Like other reviewers, I found the on/off switch to be a little difficult to operate, but this will prevent it from turning on by accident. To have in the shop, this is an excellent kit in a bag.
