Questions & Answers
It's a battery-operated driver that produces a fantastic "impact" torque. I'd never used an impact driver before, and I'd struggled with electric and battery-powered screwdrivers to drive screws into hard wood, treated fence posts, and other difficult materials. When I decided to tear out carpet and replace it with cement board and porcelain tile in my family room, I knew I'd be exhausted trying to drive hundreds of screws into the cement board underlayment. As a result, I decided to invest in this impact driver. It's incredible! I'm not sure how I got by without one for so long! I'm a 60-year-old woman with more tools than the average man, and I can now drive almost anything without causing damage to my wrists or shoulders. It's now my go-to tool for nearly everything. It has two batteries, which comes in handy when working on a large project like laying 400 square feet of cement board, which required about 30 screws per piece. When the driver's battery began to fail, I replaced it with a new one and continued working. The other battery was fully charged and ready to go by the time I finished nailing the board and cutting the next bunch of cement board. br>I also appreciate the driver's balance, which is well-balanced and not overly large or heavy. There's no way to go wrong with this Bosch. If you need a cordless screwdriver, skip the standard models and invest in a good impact driver instead. Tip: Begin by utilizing the star bits and screws. When driving deep into hard wood, they're a lot less likely to strip out than Phillips screws.
Make a small back-and-forth movement. "br>Are you implying that the driver's bite isn't held tightly or securely in the socket? br>Or are you implying that the driver socket can be rotated forward and backward a little?

I was on the verge of crying on the floor at Home Depot because I adore this tool so much. This is a high-quality, long-lasting, lightweight tool with no battery protruding from the front that has withstood a lot of abuse. I'm overjoyed that I discovered it on the internet. Despite the fact that the men on the job referred to it as my "baby drill," they always wanted to borrow it. When I die, I want to be buried with it!.
I suppose I'm familiar with the capabilities of this impact gun. In this 12-volt impact driver series, I'm on my third. If you count the old ten, this is the fourth impact driver. The 7v series has been on the market for ten years. br>I'm a big fan of it. I also have an impact driver that runs on 18 volts. That particular set isn't very popular. The 12v impact does not have a thermal overload shutdown, so it usually covers everything I need to drive. As a result, short-term overuse of the impact driver can cause damage. Allow her to cool down for a few minutes if she becomes too hot to touch. The device is oblivious to the fact that it is extremely hot. She'll keep going until she's done with the situation. To detect thermal overload, this device requires a shutdown sensor. Perhaps one is included in the newer brushless model. Is there anyone who knows? Despite this, this tool is a beast, with more power than any other 12v driver on the market. It's small, and once you learn how to use it, you'll find yourself relying on it as a necessary piece of equipment. They should, given how reliant this little creature is.
For a living, I work as a contractor. I've had no problems with my Bosch 12 volt drill (and other tools) for over ten years, and I've been looking for a driver to use for sheetrocking and construction. Also: THIS IS NOT A "BARE TOOL" AT ALL! It includes TWO batteries, as well as a charger. If that wasn't enough, the soft side case is a great fit for the tool. In a world where every tool manufacturer has decided to rip us off by charging the same $$$ for a tool that doesn't have a battery or a case, this example of them not doing so stands out. Because the 12 volt batteries are $40 each, the tool was almost "free" with the two batteries and additional charger/case. Except for the angled driver, it's probably the shortest tool of its kind I've seen. It will be able to fit into even the tiniest of spaces. Bosch, I appreciate it!.
I bought a MilwaukeeM12V to install hooks on the garage wall, but it didn't have enough power to install screws into wood, so I tried a Bosh impact driver, which has the same voltage (12V) as Milwaukee but is more powerful, and it's very easy to install screws into wood with very little effort. I'm impressed with the Bosh impact driver. br>I love it because it's light weight and powerful, and even though I received a defective one (less power in 1/2 hour when battery is fully charged), I returned it and repurchased it. The exact same one was ordered. The second one has a quality issue; the charger has scratches and is not the same as the one shown on Amazon; it looks like a 3rd party FAKE charger, and inserting the battery into the charger slot is difficult. Please see the photos that are attached.
I inquire about the installer's tool a few times. The Bosch impact drill was his tool. After the installer showed me how to use the drill, I went online and found it on Amazon. That's the one to get, according to the installer, so I ordered it right away. I've installed four large blinds with it. It was an easy decision, and it's the best small tool I've bought in a long time.
Why is this my go-to impact driver, I can tell you? Screws and small bolts require a light, maneuverable tool with adequate torque. This model includes two batteries, which is fantastic. It's something I use almost every day, and I like the size and weight of it. This driver allows me to get into tighter spaces where my other drivers may have more power, but I've found that they're bulkier, and this one is usually sufficient. I can't overtighten or strip the screws because of the 12V. At slow speeds, my 20V model is difficult to control, but it's perfect for deck screws.
Everything you've been told about the driver is true; You'll have everything you need in terms of size and power. It's one of the best purchases I've ever made. After about 5-minutes, the charger that came with this kit reeked of a burning power supply or other electronics. Charging time is 10 minutes. In addition, it is extremely hot. Fortunately, I have a 30-minute charger from my Bosch drill, which uses the same batteries (BC430), and it charged these batteries without producing any heat, smoke, odor, or other problems. br>br>I'm sure some of my fellow Bosch aficionados will chime in and say things like "don't give it a bad review, you just got a bad one and should've sent it back to Amazon!" That could be true, but I needed the tool right away and didn't have time to fiddle with returns. Returns, on the other hand, are a completely different story. br>br>This kit didn't inspire confidence right out of the box. The charger stinks even after weeks of being unplugged and unused. br>In conclusion, this is an excellent tool; however, I received a subpar charger. Because this is sold as a kit, the overall rating of 3 stars reflects the sum of its parts. The drill and bag are excellent, but the charger is in poor condition. br>And yes, this tool will blow your mind if you get a good one. ESPECIALLY if you haven't updated in a long time and are still using outdated software. If you aren't a big-picture thinker, This might be your one and only drill as a time contractor. br>Once more - The drill has only good things to say about it.
