The pros are ** - Chevy roof steel, to be use for NMO mounting purposes, can be cut easily* - There is no chipping of paint at the hole edge since the blades are so good at taking care of ** - Burrs on the bottom of this item are very small, too - The use of minimal cutting oil is a con. ** - Drilling had to be done twice because the hole was about 3/4" larger than anticipated due to the drill wandering during It's hard for me to explain how this happened, but I felt the bit drift a bit in an orbital pattern as it cut the hole in the first place. Hence, the size of the hole was bigger than 3/4" and the 'ears' of the NMO mount had a lot of trouble grabbing the metal. IMO this is more of a NMO mount problem than it is of a Bosch hole drill. However, if this bit had made a perfect hole of 0, this would have been a different story. It would have been better if it had been 750". Using a drill at 1/3 speed will result in better results. It is fast at low speeds. There is no need to go at a high speed, but neither should we go at a To begin, test it on a scrap piece of metal that is of equivalent thickness.
The hole in the blade is exactly 3/4" in diameter, ensuring proper fit between the blade and the blade. It took me some time to drill, but the blades cut very cleanly and quickly. A ten out of ten recommendation!.
There is an inherent cost associated with my 1-bedroom apartment, but it was worth it As the arbor spun, the 1-/8" thread got stuck, completely stripping it and being deemed useless, so the 1-/8" could not be used, so 1-/16" was used instead. However, that didn't work out for me. I had hoped for an impact set that was convenient. Whenever I use my drill, I am going to stick with the Carbide hole saws I have never had an issue with.
The product is used to cut holes in aluminum trim coil stock that are larger than the standard size. An excellent job is done by it. A nice clean hole, does not need a lot of pressure on the drill to punch it, just let it cut and do what it needs to do. Now that I've seen the whole set, I want it.
It's easy to remove the drywall once the bit is spring-loaded. The cut was extremely clean, leaving almost no dust behind.
These bits usually have a set screw to hold the pilot bit in place. There is no such thing here. No idea if they simply jammed a pilot bit into a hole a quarter inch wide, or if there was adhesive or a weld/solder, I'm not sure. The hole I made was the precursor to another and I did make another after I made the first hole In the pilot bit, there was a break. It is going to be welded to fix it, but that would be a ridiculous solution that most people wouldn't bother with. I don't think it's worth the trouble. The three dollars are not worth it.
I don't even think this is good for a single.
