Questions & Answers

What is the maximum size of a hole this drill can drill through a 2 inch A Home Depot employee told me that I had to purchase water inside the wall, but I am not sure what it ?

Despite the thickness of the quartz countertop, I managed to drill a two inch hole. In any case, you must keep the bit wet at all times. When you drill outdoors, use a hose to prevent water from getting in your drill.

If anyone could confirm that this is a 2 x 2 image, it would be greatly appreciated. What do you mean by 5"? Several people commented that it turned out to be larger than we had expected. ?

There is a slight difference in size between 2- and 3- 2" is 1/2" so that there is a 2" Pipe or fixtures up to 1/2 inch in diameter can pass To mount a vessel sink with a 2-inch faucet, I cut a hole in the stone countertop with a bit of water for cooling and lubrication With this drill bit, you can drill a 1/2" base in less than a minute.

How well will this drill a hole into a 1/4" thick glass table?

This should be the case

This is yet another example of poor reviews debunked
5/5

The majority of the reviews are positive, so I decided to try it out based on my personal experience and gut feeling. Since I only needed to drill one hole, I decided it was worth a shot, especially in light of the fact that I was only doing 17 bucks instead of $40+ from retail/hardware stores. The mission was to drill two holes of a certain diameter The hole in 3/8" porcelain tile for a shower diverter is 1/2" in diameter. Although I would like to take offense, I have learned that some people base their reviews on their lack of experience, lack of skill or lack of adherence to instructions. This doesn't lead to a fair review of the product. It is proper to review the product's quality and performance and not base it on someone's lack of knowledge or skills. To get a sense of the product, I read a lot of reviews before making a purchase. I've learned to disregard some reviews based on how they are written, and by getting a sense of the individual skill levels of the reviewer No matter whether it is for a tool or It once again paid off to use my method. Several people condemned the hole saw because it didn't have a pilot bit, but a pilot bit would "walk" on tile and glass anyway, and wouldn't be of much use. Using foam backer board, I drilled a hole into the tile and taped the board onto the tile. The board served as a drill guide, as well as a "dam" to contain the After filling the bucket, I set the nearby hose on mist to boost the water and clean the surface Take debris out of the way. My drill was set up over a bucket of 5 gallons and I started Using a variable I was able to Due to my guide, I did not begin at an angle as you normally would with a diamond bit. I squeezed the trigger just enough to give a pretty low rate of rotation and applied relatively light pressure on the tile. I felt a groove begin to form after about 20 rotations. When spray intervals are between). It took about five minutes for the saw to snap While it probably would have been faster, I decided to examine the part to make sure the other's claims was true about diamond dust wearing smoothly I wanted to, but it didn't happen. The hole was very clean and the dimension only varied by 1/8" (in this type of work, that is considered acceptable--- The engines for the space shuttle are not being assembled by us). In other words. A failure almost always results from too little water and spinning the bit way too fast, as if it were a lawnmower It is dangerous to lean into it too much, or speed it up. The pin only needed to be used to drill a single hole, but it shouldn't have a problem passing through a few others as well. That being said, it looks very much like it was designed and constructed for occasional use and is not meant to be used daily Using a hole saw is a common task for granite or tile contractors. Having the hole saw ready to use when you purchase it is a big benefit The arbor is welded to the bit and is designed to fit into any standard 3-hole chuck An impact drill with a jaw My purpose was served well by this, and I would recommend it for you if you want to read a few light books There is an application for duty. IMPORTANT NOTE As an independent buyer, I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and I do not have any affiliation with When it comes to reviews, I aim to write helpful, unbiased and insightful reviews since I also read reviews prior to making its own purchase decision. In many reviews, there's little information, or the review is poorly written, or it's a poor review just because the reviewer didn't read the directions or didn't read the product details before buying. The act of writing valuable reviews contributes to the pay it forward movement.

Using Quick Work Through 3/8 Porcelain Tile I made a jig from plywood to make these drill bits work with precision since they are not centered and I could not find any diamond hole saws in this size that did have a center hole
5/5

Then I turned it into Hole with a diameter of 5" and a diameter of 4" The wood hole saw I used for the temp valve is 5 inches long and the 2 inch saw is 2 inches. Hole with a diameter of 5" and a diameter of 2" I used a 5" wood hole saw for my transfer value (which I determined to be perfectly aligned and measured). Routered out exactly to the same size as the tile, the ply wood piece was the same size as the tile. My Makita cordless drill was set to the fast setting as I put the plywood on top of the tile, poured water in the two holes to cool them, and then started drilling. It probably took me less than a minute for me to drill two perfect holes with the drill press, and I didn't have to use the angle grinder to hope and pray like I would otherwise need to do. There are very precision cuts on the tile, so it looks like it came from the factory with these holes. There is none of that ugly, jagged (even though you don't notice it) crap often encountered in movies. It is less likely that water will find its way to wherever it is looking for with a smaller and more precise hole.

I love it - it works great I need a Jig to accomplish this
4/5

- You will need a jig to cut into granite, etc. - You can build your own or buy one like the ones recommended. In that case, the device would "walk" and would not be able to stay You would still need a jig of some sort even if you used an arbor type with a diamond or carbide bit, as the bit will "walk" when you use it. The diamond hole saw with this arbor seems to be a cheaper option than diamond hole saws with arbors. The wood hole saws that you use on counter tops may be the same size as the hole saws you use for hole sawing wood so that the wood fits firmly against the backsplash or wall so that you can just hold it, using one hand, while you drill. The jig hole should be filled with a little water. With the granite cut down to 1/8", it is not necessary to use wood to keep cutting, but to keep spraying water onto the cuts and the.

I was able to get it to work To make a 2-page report I needed to make a 2-page report I have tried several different diamond drill bits and masonry bits for drilling a 1/2" hole through a 2 1/2" thick tile, but had no success
5/5

After doing a little research, I found the listing for this bit, ordered it, and had it the next day. It took me less than a minute to get the hole made. Using scrap paneling, I drilled two holes in it and then attached the piece of wood to it The jig was then clamped to thetop of a portable work table and a 1/2 inch hole was opened with the wood hole saw. The hole in the jig was drilled in less than a minute after I poured some water into the hole and started drilling. Holding the drill in one hand while slowly pouring water onto the bit, the hole was drilled It is a wonderful drill bit that I highly recommend.

This is a great hole saw
5/5

I had prior tried a hole saw from a big box store to drill a hole through porcelain for a draft tower for my outdoor kitchen to no avail. It broke the tile about 3/4 of the way through after an hour of cursing. The fly breezed through it as if it was I had a perfect hole in less than 5 minutes. It's worth it to get this thing, rather than to deal with the aggravation.

It's too big! I'm sure most people will be able to use the bit
3/5

Now that all of the good comments have calmed down about debunking bad reviews it will be easier to move forward. I was able to make the bit narrow enough for PRACTICE, but our bit was 1/16" too large. As far as my situation was concerned, There are either other bits I have to get or a lot of changes I have to make. Is the cause of a lot of problems. Having said that, I am unable to comment on the cutting quality because it will not fit where it is needed. However, be warned that the outside dimensions of this bit are a little longer compared to The horse crap in this picture is 5" in diameter.

I used it for a faucet hole in a ceramic tile
5/5

It worked great and I didn't have any problems cutting through the tile. The bit has to either be horizontal or be near the edge of the grid so that it bytes into the tile or a bit of a border keeps It was very easy to use besides that.

I spent two hours on it
3/5

Having read the reviews and liked what I saw about this brand, when I received the item, it looked fine and normal however, when I tried to use it to drill holes for my overflow, it took me two hours to drill through 3/8" glass in my 75 gallon aquarium. Considering I wanted to buy another bit, looking like I'll spend double what I have on Bulk Reef Supply. Because starting flat didn't do anything with these bits, I started above grade instead of at ground level because starting flat didn't work.
