Questions & Answers

Sizes how do they differ from each other?

This saw is equipped with nine hole saws There are 13 pieces 3", 7/8", 1 1/18", 1 3/8", 1 1/2", 1 3/4", 2", 2 1/8", 2 1/2", 2 ARBORS, and 2 PILOT BITS.....

Can this drive be used with this drive?

A pilot bit has a drive size of approximately 1/4", which is approximately 1/4" in diameter. This project can be accomplished with any 3/8" drill. My strongest recommendation is to use a drill with a two-handed handle Operation carried out with the hand. You will end up breaking your wrist if you are not careful with these things.

Hole saw is not necessary for middle drill bit. Is it possible? I have created a piece of work that is three dimensional The cutout circle should have been 1/2" diameter, and the center hole should not have been drilled. I appreciate your kind words! ?

Yes, you can do it and use the advice given by those who have helped you, but this set doesn't have three slots An 11-1/2" hole saw as an example.

Is it possible to stack both hole saws on the same pilot to enlarge a hole that has already been cut?

You can see a video on YouTube that shows how to cut a plug of wood the same size as the smaller hole, thread it onto the drill bit, and place it in the hole you are enlarging to assist in stabilizing the Although I have not tried it yet, I am hopeful that it will work!

There is no end to the It is the first time I have purchased a set of hole saws in thirty There is nothing like these Milwaukee Hole Dozers for cutting holes
3/5

The situation is not good at all. I believe they are made from a flat bit of tool steel that is formed into a circle and then welded together. Because of the runout, a hole is left that is imprecise. Here is a picture of the first The variation in the 5" saw can be seen in the picture. In order to make a hole of about 1 inch in a 2x4 or plywood, you must drill a hole halfway through the piece. There are 5" versions of these that may be fine for you. I need to drill into 1/4" steel and need a closer fit to the advertised size. The runout requires greater down force along with the kerf width is a combination of the MIN and MAX measurements. 5 of the saws in my set have this runout issue and I will be returning them to the store. A big box store in the local area was able to compare the pieces I owned with the test set I bought. As well as the hole saws there, the Hole Dozer hole saws suffer from the I have some Disston saws that I have had for 30 years. They have no welded seams and are very accurate. The sets sold today by brands like Lennox and Disston appear to be welded as well, so I don't know where the answer to finding higher precision might lie. As of yet, no results have been found.

Make sure that the weld slag isn't painted over after cutting a hole, as this will result in a bad weld
3/5

In the past, I was a fan of Milwaukee quality, but as of late, it appears they are fading as well as There are weld beads visible on the edges of the seams which are on the outer face of the saw and it looks like they haven't been In this case, you get a ridge on the outside of the saw because of the repainted surface, which causes the saw to wobble while As well, this makes it cut 1/16 inch to 1/8 inch larger than how you want it. It is not necessary to cut holes that are out of round, or of a certain size if you are trying to put a doorknob in, or if you are using a particular material. Quite ironic, I had to go to a local hardware store and buy replacement saws for the factory imperfect ones. They were sold in clamshell packaging, not as a set, and are actually the same hole saw as the defective ones. Each one was perfectly smooth and round.

Take a look at the reviews! As soon as I opened the box, I returned these due to the exact same reasons for which the top reviews blasted this set
3/5

The Milwaukee City Council did not want to go in this direction, so here we are. In addition, the box handle is designed so poorly that it pushes the door open so much that it doesn't close properly when carried. This handle doesn't swing past the door, because it's molded right against it instead of halfway up. As a result, it'll never go straight up, so you have to carry it at an angle so it keeps pressing against the door and forcing the door As it stands, the quality of this is so poor I'm hoping it is made up, but it looks real. I'm knee-deep in a thriving ecosystem and my head is in the clouds if this is an indicator of where Milwaukee is headed in terms of quality.

I found a nice demo on this same Milwaukee set online
5/5

It didn't work, I don't have much strength in my hands (arthritis). I had a similar Bosch set that wouldn't heat. I found a nice demo of this set on the Milwaukee website. In the video, it looked like it was very simple to do. set, and he had difficulty (Because he's young and doesn't have arthritis, I thought he could deal with this, the Milwaukee arrived, it worked just as well as the guy demonstrates (The flat sides of the device that holds the saw blade make it It was round. (The Bosch was upright. 1) I am satisfied with the results. would like to see the video that convinced me, it is on YouTube under "Milwaukee Quick Change Arbor and Hole Saw Kit Demonstration".

Dozer with a hole in it
5/5

Since they have made such high quality tools for years, Milwaukee tools have been an invaluable resource for me when it comes to woodworking. I'm pleased with the product and expect it to last for years.

There is a lack of quality control
3/5

There is a major issue with quality control on these. There was a problem weld on the 1 3/8" hole saw, causing one tooth to be deformed by at least one sixteenth of an inch. I could make 1 1/2" holes even with the aid of a drill press by adding some wobble to my 1 3/8" hole saw while on the arbor. Even though the other hole saws seemed to be better, they were still not as good. Due to the fact that I really needed it to be reasonably accurate, I returned it Reruns are available on Amazon thanks to the great In the end, I bought a 13 piece Lenox set for $90, about $20 less than I expected The price has gone up by $30. There was no wobble in the arbor with this set because the welds were perfect. As a result, we had better and more accurate cuts.

If you need rough cuts in 2x4s, then this set is fine, but I would rather pay the extra few dollars to get.

The value of the item is exceptional
5/5

It makes sense on the one hand to purchase super-sized bits taking into account that you bore thousands of holes that are the same size on the other hand The heavy-hitting A hole saw with its own arbor is a heavy-duty tool. This kit is a great value if you are a DIYer or contractor that doesn't bore that many holes. Arbors can be changed quickly and easily thanks to their clever design. Value can then be calculated by looking at quality for the money spent, and this set delivers great value.
