Questions & Answers

What if I use a Dremel tool with these?

No, they won't, they do not have the right size collet on the Dremel. My drill press and a jig I made to hold the bottles allow me to use my drill press. Please accept this as my sincere thanks

Would anyone please let me know the name of the 1/2" hole saw? My goal is to create a stainless steel counterbore with an outside diameter of 1/2 inch and an inside diameter of 3/8 inch. ?

Smaller than a half inch

Does it allow for the drilling of holes in acrylic? Please accept my sincere thanks. ?

Having never used them on acrylic, I am unsure if they will work. It is likely that you will end up with a hole that is soft and not clean when you use these bits to grind a hole in acrylic. Since there is no pilot bit to keep the bit in place, you use these bits in a drill press rather than a hand drill.

This drill bit is used to create the crafts in the "product show." How is this drill bit used? There seems to be a circular cut in the glass? Are there different sizes available as well?

They cut a little "plug" out of the glass because they are "hole saw" bits. They probably come in other sizes as well.

Worked very well
5/5

It was necessary to drill drainage holes in the bottom of several planters I used for succulents that I was using. I am not sure what these cost in stores. As a widow, I am trying to figure things out on my own as she has been a widow for many years. When I used my electric corded drill to accomplish the various tasks, the drill worked fine.

One simple trick is all you need to know to get these to work
5/5

My first purchase was of 10 of these, but I drilled 6 holes in 9 of them In the hole, I could see them glowing red. I asked my tile installer friend, who figured it out for me You can use a plastic soda bottle to test this method. Pour some water into the bottle and drill a small hole in the lid, about 1/8" does not have to be exact*** And then continuously spray water into the cut as you are feeding the bits. This will change your life! One bit can do 50 or more holes! I drilled 12 holes with it, and there are still 50+ more holes left! I also think it was fast too, less than a minute all the way through. over an hour on the first six. It will not drift if you place the point where you marked the center of the hole. As you drill, be sure to keep a running stream of water beside it. In addition, it cuts slower as it goes deeper, so it would take up to a week to get to the middle of it. As soon as the hole made was about 1/4" in diameter, I rolled the drill around, just like when reaming with a regular bit. All you are trying to do is cut a 1/2" hole through the surface, no So now the diamond bit has something to bite into and it is able to slice When it is not cooled with water, I think the metal will melt and the diamond chips will become loose and fall away. A five-year life expectancy for each of these is possible with water as the coolant. You're going to have a great time!.

This is a great product
5/5

I have found these drill bits to work super well Each of the sizes included in the set appeals to my sense of style. The majority of the time, I use them to drill holes into ceramic pots so that I can place The biggest drill bit I've used so far has been drilled about 20 holes, and I have not seen any decay in the quality or dullness of the bit during the process. In addition, I like the fact that the drill bits have a hole in the bit in order to push out the ceramic material from inside. All in all, I highly recommend this set of drill bits, and I look forward to drilling holes for my next set of plants.

There is no such thing as a 12 The cutting ability of these is not enough for me to comment much on it, however my experience so far suggests this is a good one and in line with what I expected
4/5

The only thing I have to say is that they The fifth paragraph). There is a range between 0 and 1. The angle between 45" and 0 is 45 degrees. The diameter ranges from 5 mm to 12 mm. It is 2 mm in diameter). Take a look at the An unused bit was measured along the shaft at the base of the abrasive tip and at the tip of the As these get worn down slowly, their diameter will likely also decrease, so the smooth shaft ought to be a lower limit. Assuming the quality and lifespan of these matches my expectations, I am still pleased with the deal. I am only deducting one star for the smaller than advertised size. In case that's not the case, I'll revisit the review.

You may not be able to cut them to This was updated With a few uses of these bits I have determined that they can be used more pressure without destroying their tips
4/5

I will now be able to push through 3/4" and beyond We were able to gather about 1" of beach pebbles after about 10 minutes. Thus far only 2 of the 5 bits have been used and they are still in good working order, so we will see how long they last. Harder rock still requires twice as many tips.

The first thing you need to know is that these are not 1/2" in After a couple of holes they will be slightly higher. They start out around 12mm, and after a few holes they will be slightly lower A 11mm coin. In my opinion, it would take a long time to reamer out the hole to achieve 1/2", but it is possible. As an experimenter, I have had some success drilling thru a few rocks and As a result, the bits actually drilled through the rock. Using a drill press, I used a speed of 300-400 A container of water was filled with water and the rock was submerged at 400 rpm. My pace was very slow and my pressure was low. It is not a good idea to rush this, because you will break the pieces. For beach pebbles that are softer, it takes an average of 25 minutes to drill 3/4"-114". The rock is one inch wide. A rock with a harder quartz composition will take at least twice as long to dissolve. The drill seems to be relatively easy when it comes to drilling glass. Despite being beaten by a couple of rocks, the bit appears still to be alive. The price of these is less than $10, and they give you a good deal if you can live with a 12mm hole in the plate. As a result of the size, I cannot give this product more than 3 stars. It will be impossible to accomplish what I wanted unless they add at least 1/2".

It's lousy - Please do not waste your time and money
3/5

You could have spent the same amount of money and gotten one piece (which I got) and been happy about the It was hit and miss how the diamond grit was applied to qualified. *These might work for other things besides the original purpose for which I had Nevertheless, I am very sceptical about In order to get a good diamond bit for the same cost as these five,,,, spend the same amount for one ( higher quality) and you will not be out that much This set of five seems easier than one set for the same price ( though a better one would have been better). I should have known better,,, I should not have taken the easy option. The set of five and a single bit ( unclear, might have been Amazon) were bought at roughly the same time, so in case the set of five did not do the job, I had the single bit ( remember, same price as the set of five) to do the In all honesty, I have not read the reviews for this set, and if there is anything good in those reviews, it probably has to do with the glass, or even the fact that cardboard is drilled by hand, since this set seems to be of little value as a set. This set is so bad that even if it were given away for free, I would not use it. I think - You shouldn't use these lousy bits, because they are poor in quality, unable to perform the simplest tasks they are intended for.
