This knife is highly sculpted and thick
5/5

There is nothing missing, nor is there a defect to be seen. In truth, I'd be lucky to use half of these taps and dies over the next few years although they are available. However, I want them to be there for me when I need My preference is always to buy the best tools available for my budget and will almost always pay more if the price matches the quality of the tool. The reviews on Amazon are really helpful since I already own a set of Neiko impact sockets I'm happy with, and I decided to get these after reading many positive reviews from professionals and home users alike. It's really difficult to find a tool at a better price anywhere else. Despite the fact that you can find such sets at brick and mortar stores and specialty stores for almost twice the price, if no one is actually vouching for the quality, who is to say that it is Because of my thorough checking of reviews, I've been able to order tools from Amazon with great success. When I first walked into the plant, I carefully inspected all taps and dies to make sure nothing was Furthermore, I checked for any visible defects and did not find any. There are some very sharp edges here. This is the kind of sharp blade that can cut your finger up if you're not careful. Whether or not they perform well in the future remains to be seen, but for now they've already made a strong It'd be nice if all of us would make use of cutting oil as I plan to do for the best results. There are some who have complained about the case, but I have no complaints. Everything is securely held within the bag, and the clasps are tightly closed. Although the plastic isn't the best, seeing as it will live inside a box most of its life, I'm not too concerned about its quality, and I always prefer investing my money in quality tools instead of pretty cases.

There is enough variety to satisfy most people
3/5

Occasionally, there are projects to be done. I think the worst thing about the case is how ridiculous it is. Anybody with a set of taps knows how frustrating this can be. The dies won't hold together, and some of the taps don't function. It is not cool just to close the case, and if you have to carry it anywhere, it would ruin the day. I found it to be a pain to close up, even when it was open on the table. It has an outdated engineer grade custom sign that I can close by fitting between the two sides. One side of this piece is strong enough to hold the pieces in, but the closing tabs of this piece are terrible. On top of that, the case has a tap diameter recommendation that is not suited to the drill bit size. Therefore, if you can deal with the downsides, the tools themselves weren't as bad as they appeared on the surface. Two days later, an update. There are even errors in the manufacturing and stamping process. I am returning unpaid Previously, Amazon was the largest retailer in the world. The case is exactly the same as those of the Tekron brand, with just a little color difference. It dismays me to learn that Tekron is also junk now, and these are clearly made at the same factory. It's good to know about them now before a situation arises.

It seems to be an inexpensive case, but the tools themselves seem reasonable
3/5

The case is somewhat cheap and flimsy, but it's quite compact. The handles were cracked, but I love it for its compactness. As with handles, latches have the telltale whitening of the plastic at their hinge points, indicating that they are likely to break. There is a lack of quality machining on the tap handle tools (left side has a lip and there is poor In my experience, tapping and die machining are above average. I haven't used them yet, but will report back once I have. Infrequent use is probably the best use for this tool.

The point is sharp
5/5

The service is convenient. This handbook serves as a general purpose guide. The M24 up to there. It was really only the M22x1 that I needed. You have to tap five times. A new and sharp tool was used to thread some acrylic sensor housings, and it worked just fine. I have collected various bits and pieces of metric threading tools over the years, I now own one Go-Anywhere threading tool I frequent this store for the larger sizes I need from time to time. The way I work is as follows A live center #3 Morse snugged up into an R-shaped chair The collet is 8 3/4" in diameter. The deal is to use an open-end wrench. Then light pressure should be applied to the quill. There is certainly an adequate center there - Prepare a "hole" as you would expect at the head of the tap so that this can be done. I would say it's small, but it's There is a wide range of sizes available out there for fluid plugs, which are more commonly used by mechanics. There are two types of engines hydraulic and oil. You will be able to filter the Although they are not up to Hanson standards, they are quite competent The machines are not as capable as the Whitney (CNC), but they are still more than adequate for general purpose and convenience. I give this a 5 out of 5.

There is no need to go elsewhere
5/5

As I dismantle a tractor, I will be using this tool set to help rebuild the tractor and clean up old bolts and nuts. helped to freshen up threads on a painted bolt several times over. I am not 100% certain the system used to hold the dies in place is the best option since they seem to come loose quite easily. However, it is there whenever I need it.

The end results are fantastic
4/5

I'm surprised at their quality. They were within my budget and were a good set of tap and die. As it is, I am not expecting brilliant quality or a long life from these items. I need something to work with, and the plan is to replace breakages or the "bad quality" as they occur with better alternatives as needed. My initial project was already set in stone when I bought the set, so as soon as it arrived, I began working on Open the box and I was a little disappointed since I anticipated the smallest size die to be 1 inch in diameter and a 1 inch die for the larger. 5 inches, and the larger two 2 inches), nothing unexpected for an experienced engineer, but I still had to rethink my strategy. It was part of my project that I had to thread a 1/2-inch An arbor of 20 inches had to be dead square to the rotation angle to prevent the screw from twisting. About a third of the way along the shank, the die bound up so bad I was worried it would break. It took me two attempts to get the thread square. As I had read reviews complaining about the brittleness of the tools, I became worried that I had gotten myself into one of those situations where cutting was no longer possible but backing up would chip the cutting edge. After pushing the tool back and forth until the die was "free", I lifted it up and let it cool. Lastly, I was able to cut the thread I wanted. I am quite happy with the outcome.
My last comment is, if you can afford to buy top quality, then don't even think about purchasing Even in the most abusive environment, top quality products still fail, but these cheap products will not tolerate any kind of abuse.

So far, everything seems to be working fine
4/5

Having used this set twice already in the two weeks since receiving it, it has proven to be useful and quality appears to be excellent. I made it. The split dies make it possible to create threads that fit precisely inside a tight or loose mating piece. I used them to recut the threads on a damaged bolt and to extend the threads over the shank of a long carriage bolt. We'll see if this kit stands up to repeated use, but I don't expect to use it on a daily basis as I am not a professional machinist. Let's hope for the best!.
