Selected User Reviews For CRAFTSMAN Mechanics Tool Set, SAE / Metric, 135-Piece (CMMT12024)
Until I got my truck, I only had cheap tools or hand me downs, but once I got my own truck, I decided to invest in some quality Craftsman tools were always regarded well by my father, and he was right. Upon receiving them, I was surprised by the weight. There was a thin coat of oil or something covering the tools so they didn't rust. I have so far spun the ratchet extremely hard, and the socket has yet to show any wear. It's a pleasure to work with your company and I appreciate the quality and selection of sockets and wrenches you offer. As long as I do the light tinkering and oil changes it is perfect for me.
It's again one of those tools that I like Craftsman hand tools for, but they put in those 12 point 1/2" drive sockets again. It is not deep (not the sea). You will find that 12 point sockets tend to stop your nuts and bolts from rounding off. As a result, these larger sockets will slip because they're subjected to such high torque. The rest of the sockets are six points. It is because of this that I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. Craftsman, you must do it!.
One and a half hours of use was all that my socket could handle. As soon as I turned my attention to the mechanism, the sturdy first impression changed. Generally, I use the tool box only for routine maintenance on my car and to store in the trunk in case of an I was put off by the way the socket gave out in the middle of replacing brake rotors.
The other reviews might have led me to make a better decision. There's nothing good about the ratchets in this kit. To tighten down six bolts, I used the 3/8 drive with no heavy torque. I made it to bolt # 5 before the ratchet broke. I used it for the very first time. This is a bad situation. The direction selector has.
Based on the recommendations of my instructors and people in the auto repair field, there are only three brands to choose from. SnapOn was trim and sexy while proto was the best quality and most expensive. As a result, I purchased a complete set from Sears for $100 from Craftsman because it was the least expensive and guaranteed for life. There are forty-four After I bought that one, I bought an almost identical one for $110 more This is a return from a customer. An added bonus was the plastic case that contained the tools In case of roadside emergencies, this device is very practical. Please note. Upon initial inspection, the product appeared to be of the same quality as my old one.
My toolbox is always filled with cheap tools that I wish I had purchased years ago instead of always digging through it. Considering its high quality and well packaged packaging, this is a very good set. Sears Craftsman tools have always produced the high quality tools you expect from them. A grandfather could pass this on to his The price was well worth it. It may find a place on my (Just kidding) But they are good tools to have.
The first thing we will do is change the oil in the diesel engine. I am impressed with the strength of the 1/2" ratchet. My favorite thing about bigger letters and numbers is that they stand out more. Since I no longer have to squint, I can see clearly. Considering the case is red now, I can go over the markings within it with a black marker to help identify how they are set up since I'm not familiar with it.
