Taiwan is the place where we manufacture this set.
Despite the fact that sometimes ratchets might need a break-in period, I have had great success with just cleaning and lubing the The tools we have range from a craftsman 1/2 that is almost black with oxidation to a 3/8 triwing from the 90s to a older Mac zero degree ratchet. It was found that even when brand new, the ratchets continued operating smoothly and quietly as before. I recommend first cleaning and relubricating the mechanism as long as you are able before attempting warranty on a ratchet. This won't fix every problem, but it does address a lot of them. It takes less than a minute to take care of debris and solidified grease with a quick clean and lubrication.
It would be a good option for me to buy I think it's a really great little set, and it's very high quality. My plans are to obtain the 3/8 set, and if a 1/2 set came out, I would buy it as well.
A steel alloy that contains chrome vanadium. It is made from vanadium steel that quality drill bits are often made from. You could drill holes in steel and other materials if the drill bit is tough enough. You won't find a better product than this.

Even though it is a little more expensive, I am pleased that I finally decided on this updated version. At the time of purchase, the difference was less than $5, but it was Considering that the cost difference is only $2, there is no reason not to make the switch. How does it help you though? For what extra money can you expect to get? Nevertheless, I've got 4 extra metric sockets in my bag (4mm and 5mm) There are three types of sockets (5mm, normal, and deep). I have already needed mine. They might sound strange, but I have already needed mine. However, the ratchet wrench appears to be the most significant difference. A lot of criticism was leveled at the old set The wrench in this case shows none of those problems, so they must have listened carefully. There are 90 teeth in the ratchet per complete turn, so one click works at a distance of So far, it has proven itself to be solid and reliable. There is one embarrassing thing I must confess, however. Because I could not get anything to fit over the little ball bearing, I initially thought the wrench was defective. It is my experience that the sockets need to be friction fitting with the ball bearings being spring loaded. In any case, I discovered that the small button located on the back of the rachet head, was such that it released the ball bearing. I could now enjoy the device perfectly! No part of the computer can fall off since it has to be released using a push button. I felt stupid until I realized I have only used a wrench with a button a few years ago, but that wrench had a lever that released a lever that reversed the ratchet direction. Now, with the old wrench it was a problem that the little lever could be accidentally moved, but with this new wrench, while it moves very smoothly, it is sufficiently recessed that so far I have not caught it on Several of the sockets appear to be very well made, as there is not a scratch in them or anywhere else on them. They're very smooth and well-built too. I am done. In fact, there is a lot of knurling on them already, so perhaps in future kits they might want to further knurl them to make them easier to hold on to with greasy It is very kind of you to mark the sizes so clearly, but I thought the size on mine looked more like laser etched than embossed.
The case is actually useful! Blow-ups are typically found I had no issues with my case fitting tightly around the components, although some molded cases seem to have problems with loose fitting parts. It worked well enough and the latches and hinges worked fine. As far as the case goes, the most useful feature by far is the inclusion of a decent space for screws, etc. Yes, it is very useful in that regard. Since this kit comes with an accurate adaptor that allows the 1/4" square drive to operate with 1/4" hex bits, I immediately started storing strips of 1/4" hex screwdriver bits in it. My only criticism/recommendation is, as so many reviewers have noted, that the books aren't very well-written. An additional handle for the case would be extremely useful for this kit. In the beginning, I thought the handle of the wrench would be better with its knurled surface, but I realized I could hold onto it as is with my fingers, just because of the shape of the knurled surface. You might end up with sore hands after a lot of use if there is a lot of knurling there. It is possible that some knurling could have been beneficial to the extension bars. There are also some people who prefer extension bars to be "wobble bars" so that they have some wiggle room when in a difficult situation. Having some maneuverability here, but not intended as wobble bars, the bars here are a bit flexible. You need to care for your wobble bars very carefully, as they will wear very quickly if used as often as a normal extension bar. Having said that, this set has an excellent universal joint in its place, so the inclusion of wobble bars is pretty much not necessary Tekton has once again made a good choice. If you buy the very best name brand tools, you might well find these tools to be inferior, but only if you are going to use them in the most extreme conditions, where you are going to destroy them anyway through misuse, would you have any notice? I believe I would rather have 98% of that quality for likely less than 10% of the cost. However, I have one more point. Upon picking up the set, you will notice how heavy it is! It has taken me a long time to become accustomed to poor quality items, but as soon as you feel this quality, you realize that you are not used to it anymore. There is a lot of substance to everything - I made it. I buy this set of Tekton stamps for the first time, but I am so pleased with it that I will buy their letter and number stamps as soon as I can.
I am pleased to report that TEKTON has released another excellent product. If you are searching for non-profit organizations In my quest for essential tools, I often opt for competitors' products due to price. I chose this TEKTON product due to features and some of the more It is a disappointment-free environment. It is very easy to use the ratchets. Adding the 4 degree swing to the y makes it a handy feature for tight spaces. The y feels good in the hand and has a nice feel. Using some deep reach sockets of a different design would have made it very difficult to turn a nut, but these deep reach sockets proved invaluable in getting the job done. I believe the finish to be durable, but we will have to see how it holds up with time. It appeared that the ratchets were not lubricated much, yet they functioned fine, so perhaps they are sufficiently lubricated. device will be used until the need for lubrication is met and then it will be inspected and relubricated. As far as durability goes, the case seems to be able to last a normal life. A metal pin, instead of living hinges, makes the hinges more durable in the long run.
Kits like this aren't extravagant in any way. In other words, it's just a ratchet system Set of four nuts-and-sockets in the smallish 1/4" diameter When you pick it up and feel its weight you know it's really meant to do real work. It looks kinda' cute on a shelf, but as soon as you pick it up, you'll see it's made to do stuff. As soon as you start using the inside stuff, it seems obvious that this kind of thing should be used again A tool set that you can rely on for years and years. The tiniest sockets still have some weight to them, and all of them are machined precisely. Its smooth molded design provides an incredible ergonomic experience with no sharp edges. Although the ratchet handle lacks texture like my Dad's old ones did, it is subtly sculpted to provide a comfortable grip. There are also pins in the case's hinges, so it should prove durable even there as well. My next review will probably be in 2025 or 2030, but until then I will leave it as-is. Tekton, you did an excellent job.
Arrived in a brown box with a tekton seal. When I opened the box, the case looked good both latches worked well. I was able to see a piece of cardboard within the case to prevent two halves from rubbing against one another and potentially damaging the finish. In the ad, it is stated that the set is complete. It has a very nice finish, as I expected from Tekton. I checked the sockets and ratchet for smoothness, and they are both nice. I checked the ratchet and it appears to be working as expected. There are no noticeable differences in quality between Snap's tool truck line and most tool truck brands. We'll have to wait and see how it works. depth of the case allows you to lay it open flat in a tool drawer just fine, unless your drawer is really shallow. There will probably be a magnet pad that I cut from HD that I hot glue in that space to solve my Basically, I have nothing bad to say about my purchase, the service, and the purchase itself. You won't find a better price or quality anywhere else. To compete with the big boys, Tekton is really stepping up their game. And one last thing, it was made in Taiwan, although it appears they are starting to manufacture more and more of their materials here in the U. S. A better product than most Chinese ones.
