Questions & Answers

How did you come to live in this country?

As there is no "made in" designation on the clamp, I'd guess that Chinese components are used. The company's parent company is Chinese, so I'd guess that at least some of the components are made As far as I know, that's just a Even so, it's a solid product from what was once an acclaimed manufacturer in the USA.

Why should I buy two packs when I can just buy one?

You asked a great question. Thank you. Our clamps are now only available in two packs.

defective part
3/5

These clamps might have the potential to be really good but they have one major glitch. The release trigger is plastic, with a cam pressed against the metal locking plate that holds the clamp in Unlike many triggers, the cam on this trigger is too small to move the locking plate more than about one-third of an inch. A clamp that is hard to open means it is difficult to In the set of two pens I received, one would open with a little effort, while the other was really difficult. Both the Quick clamps and the Irwin clamps I have are more robust. The Irwin clamps' release levers are metal and part of the locking mechanism. In spite of the fact that the Jorgensen might work well at first, the plastic trigger will eventually wear out.

These clamps and spreaders are very well constructed and strong
5/5

Many of the tools that I use as a woodworker are These are my first pairs, as I have to spread the bottom of something with a lot of horizontal springs for a project. I found that the majority of clamps that spread are not strong enough to be of any assistance! I guess we are gonna have to do another round of clamp purchase. Considering how slim they are, they are quite strong, although the slight padding does make the squeeze less painful. Believe me when I tell you that it counts when you have to squeeze for the whole thing! In fact, I'd put them at the top of my list for clamps now. The flat squeezys of the BESS ones are better than those with parallel clamps, but the parallel clamps haven't yet arrived. If they don't beat these for half the price, then they need to be spectacular Both requirements must be met together! Get yourself a copy, and give it a look. They have beat all of my other brands, and I have no cheapies at all. I will come back and change this review if they fail me in any way.

My current favorite quickie clamps are these super quality clamps
4/5

Although I got a couple of these several years ago, most of my quick clamps have been old school Irwins, which I love. I use them for most anything involving a pressure greater than 3 pounds There is no need for a clamp. In recent years, there have been several dumbed-down films It's a shame that Irwin has produced such poor quality versions. As a result, they made a perfectly good product worse, offering less quality and function while saving money on manufacturing and gaining more profits. It was time for some more clamps (who doesn't) so I settled on some Jorgensens, and ended up purchasing a dozen of them. Adj. was not known to me. The former /Pony/Jorgensen company had gone under and been bought out by Great Star a few years ago, but I noticed a drop in quality in their cast metal clamps lately. The EZ Hold quick grips I just got seem to be of the same quality inside and out as the ones I got before. Over the course of a few months, I ended up buying a dozen of them. There has been a lack of availability and a jacking up of prices recently, which I assume is just related to supply issues during the period of supply shortages. In this case, I really had to shop around to find some sizes for a normal and decent price (a lot of hardware stores and other small chains in the country have great pricing and will do online ordering even if the item isn't stocked. Having said that, a typical pricing game on Amazon is generally not a part of the experience). Perhaps I will buy a few more to cover a possible change in this product line or a discontinuation of the brand. I just wanted to say thank you to you guys for making such great clamps! Yes they do take some getting used to compared to most traditional styles, but they produce a great amount of pressure consistently and reliably. Even so, the cam plates/guts of these models are just as sturdy and use more of them than the designs of Irwin and DeWalt. All of mine thus far have virtually parallel pads with only the slightest concave bend in the middle (this is really good) and it's easier to put on the jam than my Irwins, which brought the top of the pads to contact first with a It is not yet my turn to break a fixed jaw, but I have heard of that release button before. I found that the dovetails on my medium and heavy duty clamps were all a little loose, whereas those of my lighter, skinnier clamps seemed to fit snugly (neither way is better). In the event that you need to shorten one of these bars, it is not hard if you possess the tools. As opposed to the stamped dimples most manufacturers use now for stops, Jorgensen still uses a good knurled pin (not a roll pin) which can be driven out and reconfigured (maybe in a new slightly oversized They are not only well worth the money, but I would say they have an all-around better deal than competing brands/models of quality, and they are light years ahead of the common cheaper many-to-many clamps available. There are several brands that make clamps, including Great Neck, Grip, Harbor Freight, Performance and I won't go into specific names. Oh, and the pad covers on these aren't quite as soft and grippy as some brands. It reminds me of the old Irwin rubber stuff. Although they're a bit stiffer and closer to plastic, they're still very flexible and have just a slight grip. Older ones haven't shown much wear there and they don't seem to slip off very I think it was a good decision to go with a pad.

I've never seen a single handed clamp as good as this one
5/5

My experience as a woodworker for many years has led me to have numerous clamps in all kinds of shapes and sizes. As a result of these emails With Z Hold clamps, you can clamp more firmly than with other clamps because they are more comfortable to use. Despite being clamped tightly, they release predictably and are smooth/easy to adjust when rough. Moreover, they hold an exceptional grip when clamped heavily. It is important that steel bars are of good quality and have large faces. It is a problem with Irwin bar clamps that they deflect so much that I can hardly use them for bigger glue ups because the workpieces The prices are higher, so it can be a bit painful to buy, but when using them, I always remember that they are completely worth the purchase.

The product works really well, but I think there is one missing part
3/5

However, I agree with the reviewer who claimed the release latch should be stronger than plastic, but I still find it to work It's my hope that it won't This item came without one of the rubber feet, and the manufacturer ignored my email requesting a replacement part, so really poor support. I have given it one star, because it came without one of the rubber feet.

They're great clamps, I like them a lot
5/5

It is not my first set of Jorgensen one hand clamps, but this is my first set of Jorgensen Their clamping force is really powerful, and they are really easy to use with one hand. It is quite simple to release the clamp, even when it is squeezed very tightly. The clamp jaws especially appeal to me because of their flat nose. Over my work bench, they make it easy to fasten a glue up frame to my work surface and stay upright. Despite the fact that they are big enough for most jobs, the 24" clamps are small enough that I can handle them easily. These clamps are great!.

We provide high quality and value for our clients
5/5

Jorgensen clamps with 24" grips are relatively lightweight, yet very strong and durable. One of the best things about this release mechanism is that - It's easy to operate with one hand. These are what I got because I was so satisfied with my 6" Jorgensen clamps that I decided to change out some of my larger screw-in clamps. These clamps are of the style style. After using these 24" clamps for a couple of months, I ordered a couple of.

No matter which clamp you choose from their lineup, you won't be disappointed
5/5

In terms of this tool, I don't have any dislikes. There is a wide range of lengths available. Add to that the ability to combine two screws and lengthen the clamp or to add multiple pieces at once, and you have a powerful clamp with amazing This clamp is fantastic both in terms of the strength of the compression and the ability to micro adjust the clamping force. If you're looking for strength and durability at a very reasonable price point, these clamps would be a great choice.
