The clamps listed here are an upgrade from the cheap plastic cast versions. This is what I usually buy when I need clamps. Despite being slightly more expensive and significantly better, plastic remains the most common material used in boats. When the clamp force exceeds the jaw deflection threshold and the clamp force is high, cast iron bodies still have their place. In terms of my current needs, this plastic is ideal as it offers good clamping force, moderate deflection, and is pliable. After six months of weekend use, I am very pleased with the slide. It does not slip. * The ability to attach clamps to the end of rods is a unique feature. In terms of extension, this turned out to be much more useful and usable than expected, and their build quality and clamping power There is only one criticism I would have they appear to be a little bulkier than I anticipated. There are probably half an inch more surface area on the clamp heads compared to similar cheap clamps It holds other clamps, but not these, so there's a drawer that holds other clamps but not these, for some reason. This adds to the durability of the product. There are other things to consider as well. This build feels good to me, they are unique, and I like their effectiveness a lot. The clamps are great.
The strength of these things is incredible. Despite their size, the pads don't slide. They're easy to remove when it's time for them to go. It is a really great product. A very good bar/ratchet clamp that I have come across.
It is easy to use these clamps when using either the trigger or the There is no doubt that the pads are This is a comparable size to the Bessey Trigger clamp pads, but I prefer the Bessey Trigger. In my opinion, the indicator value offers almost no practical use beyond entertainment, but its presence makes the clamp connect in an extremely comfortable gradual manner. I now consider them to be my top 12" trigger clamps.
Now that I have many of them in various lengths, I am getting a lot of use out of them. A while back, I bought a set to try them out and loved them so much that I tossed some of my other clamps and bought the set instead. The clamps are tough and provide ample clamping pressure. They are also very easy to operate.
There is never enough clamps for my woodworking projects (but I have a lot). Investing in quality products has taught me that they provide performance that cheaper products can't compete with. Whenever possible, I'll buy more Jorgensen clamps if my budget permits. Since the Jorgensen clamps have the form, fit, and functionality that make my finished projects better every time.
The clamps are outstanding and the ratchet mechanism is very good. No idea if it actually applies the full pressure indicated but it is more than enough to glue up or clamp temporary pieces. Make sure the fit and finish are in line with the.
The clamp pressure indicator and the progressively tightening clamp are what I like best. When I ordered, I noticed the scale that shows the clamp pressure, and I liked the way the clamp tightened as it tightened.
