Please note that they are not made in the USA, they are made in China, but 100% in accordance with American standards. PONY Jorgensen was purchased by our business. We imported their product line too then produced the clamps as per American standards.

Does the clamp are able to accommodate material as wide as 24 inches, or is that too close to the maximum ?

It does hold 24" without a problem. If your panel or other piece measures 24 inches wide at its widest, then you will have just enough to trim off or square off and be just fine. If not, then you will have a little extra for trimming or squaring off. Hope this

Is a clamp of this type still being made (in China), and if so, are they made in any other lengths than 24"?

An excellent piece of work

I have about sixty clamps of different kinds in my wood shop, some ancient, some new, many with remnants of old dried glue. My Dad always said that "a wood shop can never have too many clamps". He is gone now and I have about 60 clamps of various kinds. Glue up can be very stressful when project pieces start to slip! If you're a woodworker, you know how frustrating it can be. It is absolutely essential to use a clamp that will not distort your project during glue-up, particularly when building drawers. There are so many great things about these parallel jaw Jorgensens. The pair I have is nice, but I would like to have a few As an investment, if you don't have a lot of disposable income, you should put these on your wish list for Christmas, birthday, etc. If you see my wife, please tell her.

It surprised me that the jaws were plastic

I find these clamps to be of good quality and feel heavy-duty. However, the description reads "steel reinforced jaws", whereas the jaws on the clamps are actually made of plastic These clamps are largely made of plastic, as you can see from the orange color in the pictures. That's fine. It is expected that at $80/set of 2 clamps, all metal will be used. completely convinced the plastic won't become brittle with time, especially after the recent change in Jorgensen ownership pointed out by other reviewers on this site. Maybe they will stand the test of time like older Jorgensens, or maybe they won't. Hopefully I'll be able to report back in 10 years or so with an updated review 3) 3 stars, but would be 5 if they delivered as promised.

A new generation has been born with Jorgensen! The Jorgensen Cabinet Master clamps in my possession were manufactured from before the company went out of business and before the brand was purchased by an outside corporation

Buying these new asian-style scissors annoyed me initially, but once I used it, I discovered that aside from the handle being black rubber (instead of wooden), there is no significant difference between them and the standard ones. These clamps are original and made by us. The new designs were identical to the older ones in every way. just as important as the crème de la crème- It consists of It is not the crop it once was. My order for a second set is being processed right now.

I'm totally blown away

These clamps are awesome. There is almost no difference whether you clamp at the tip or at the base. A clamp is deeper in the clamp if it is deeper. All of their lines stay parallel and all of the planes stay in one. You may be doing several glue ups at the same time. This clamp has a large head at the top where they stand. Two clamps are used for gluing up an item. Despite their size, these shoes remain remarkably stable when standing. It saves bench space by not wearing out your bench while it dries. Pipe clamps are a very familiar concept to most people, but you'll be surprised by These are not cheap, but I think they are well worth the money. These clamps are really nice. The grips are nice as well. There are some people who get all excited about a wooden handle. I, however, find these are It couldn't come at a better time.

This is a complete waste of time and money

Please do not be fooled by fake reviews. I have dealt with worse clamps in my life. Since one of the 4 I bought (which I was old and not very strong) broke, Having just ordered a replacement for another broken one, I ordered another. is the third day that it has rained. There's no more to say. jorgensen clamps originally made in Sweden were great-these made in China ones are a complete waste of money.

Castings of metal are not as clean, the threads are poor, and the materials are a bit Compared to the old version, they simply do not glide as smoothly. There seems to be a similar story with so many products, tools, and brands. I rated it 3 stars since they work in some ways, but not as well as they should.
