In each package, 2 clamps are provided.
There is no difference between the two clamps. The retail package for these is available from Irwin in two forms. As you can see, we have the third picture, but all clamps are the same no matter what retail package they come in.
I don't think yellow is right. Upon receiving a model, I found its pads to be black. Therefore, stupid people are incapable of matching the photographs to the products they are selling.
Two and a half and one The distance from the top of the steel bar to the top of the foot cleat of the clamp is four inches

Before I bought these, I did not know there were different QUICK-WIRE discs made by Irwin A grip that never slips Hand-held bar clamps that can clamp materials of different We're looking at the light duty version of these. It appears I had purchased the Medium Duty years ago (a photograph showing the difference is attached). As far as I'm concerned, these Light Duty clamps aren't as useful as the Medium Duty clamps. *Boards of different versions are available on the manufacturer's website, so make sure to check out the site.
There is nothing I love more than the Irwin Quick-release • grasping devices use them a lot and have quite a few of them, but this is my first time experiencing the black pad version, and I am mildly disappointed with it. In fact, the clamp shown below with the yellow pads is almost certainly another light duty clamp. It requires far more force and is less convenient to use because the new clamp's release mechanism requires a great deal more force. There is also a feeling that the jaws are fragile when the rail is under tension because they don't slide as smoothly on the rail. Also, I do not like the way the jaws are shaped. They are also more difficult to use in tight spaces due to the additional mass they likely received in order to make them stronger. Despite the fact that they'll work just as well, they're closer in quality to the cheap and never used Harbor Freight knockoffs I used Each of us has a mental order of clamps we use most often, and I think these are going to be lower on the list than the exact same yellow jaw clamps. an additional note, when ordering these, size is specifically specified by the jaw opening, and not by the overall length. I was actually looking for the next size smaller, which has an overall length of about 12", however these are nice.
In a previous order I ordered Erwin Quick Grip clamps and was very pleased with their quality and dependability. When my new clamps arrived they were of lower quality and did not meet my expectations. It only had Quick grip and some descriptive text on the label of my old clamps, but they didn't bear the name Erwin.
On the new clamps are mostly just the names Erwin and Quick Grip. It seems all the ones I found are the way my new one is. I tried to find some with the old description on the label, but all came with my new one. I was disappointed at the lower quality this time as well.
I expected it to be at least roughly comparable to the original There is a smaller handle and clamping mechanism, which is made of plastic, and the tolerances are sloppy. There are fewer clamp jaw pads and the material used is inferior to the original product, the bar stock on the runners is thin, and not to mention the pads do not align when closed as they should. My suspicion is that these Quick Grips won't last anywhere near as long as the Vise Grip Quick Grips I own, for which I have 35 years of service.
In addition to the yellow pads on the older clamps, I also received black pads on the newer clamps. Because they all had to match my existing set, I ordered them all at once.
The clamps are easy to use for work of light to medium complexity. The clamps can be tightened snugly with one hand. However, if you need clamps that can be closed with several hundred pounds of force, you won't be able to use them. This is perfect for many carpentry tasks, handyman jobs, and household tasks. I recently used mine to hold two 2 x 12s in place on six 6 x 6 posts while building a pergola to give you an idea of how strong they are.
Several of my Irwin clamps over the years have been Irwin quick clamps. The mar pads were missing from the clamps for an operation I had and so I ordered them from Amazon. Despite their usability, older clamps aren't as durable as newer ones. When I compared these to retail versions, I found that the pads on these are harder and the bars are smaller dimensionally. This is a light duty only job.
In my quest to find clamps, I have finally bought 4 clamps that I have been wanting for some time. These are only 4 stars because they are a bit stiff to use, but this will probably go away I needed them for a project I was working on, and they held the boards together well without slipping.
