A year ago, I bought a set of screw in clamps from Home Depot. My goal is to fix up the old house I live in and bought. We recommend these Irwin clamps because they are great and are priced affordably. In order to make a roof transition to an older carport, they were used to support a 2x4 with L brackets. The way they performed is reasonable. Just the right amount of flexibility is available in the rubber grips. It's a good design to tighten them with a squeeze mechanism, and you can do it by pounding on them if necessary. In addition, I put up some 4x4 posts and it was handy to clamp a level to the post to make sure it was standing straight. When the occasion arises, they are a useful tool. I used them to secure a compound miter saw to an old B&D table saw. This platform runs on the D workmate. You will like these if you buy This is a great.
There may be times when a piece needs to be held steady and in line with one hand. It would be convenient to have an armrest that allows for one-handed use You might want to buy two hand clamps. It is very easy to use, and the size and strength make it a good choice for many applications where light grip is needed Work projects assigned to you by your employer. In addition, the trigger is light and hollow plastic, so you might want to think about not overstressing it. In terms of material, the slider housing and stationary brace are both made of dense plastic designed to withstand a certain A rail and slider are both available The stop are metal, it appears to be an The clamp does not reversibly attach to the stationary end since it is permanently attached.
It's also fairly short, so you can't turn it into a spreader unless you go very creatively.
For the price, it's much better than I had A couple of sets of two was bought. The transaction went smoothly. I'm pleased with my.
Hold your finger against the release trigger and watch it pinch. So far, they seem to be holding up well. Slider bar is still able to slide even with fine dust covering it. For projects requiring special attention, fragile objects, or items that you don't want damaged by the clamp digging in, try putting something thin and flat in place of the clamp. There is an obvious gap between the clamp and the item/project on one side.
When you let go of the pressure(hitting trigger) for a short while, it can put some force back onto your finger and pinch it or dig it into the project. A pair of gloves may help. This is not intended to be a problem with the product. A year or so from now, I will update.
I have found this item invaluable as a DIYer relying on one's own abilities. You should be aware that this item does not perform as well as a metal-constructed clamp nor is it intended to support heavier loads. More lightweight uses are suited to this design. In general, this application works quite well in woodworking applications that require some extra assistance.
I'd been eyeing these for years and finally bit the bullet and purchased them. This set of clamps is extremely handy and has become one of my favorites The "to" clamps are used when I'm assembling small items, securing things to my bench, clamping a stop block to my miter saw, or clamping a stop block permanently to my table saw On my table saw, I took the sled off. It is far easier to use one-handed than screw type clamps, and it is much quicker. This is a very exciting day for me because I've finally acquired a pair.
Their ease of use and functionality make them a great choice. Whenever I disengage, I like the way the trigger is located. To keep slick items from flying out, I would prefer if the rubber was either a little more flexible or had tread to prevent them from sliding. As well as being a bit wider, I wish they were a bit longer.
I like them, but they're no way in hell 6 inches tall. pointed out, the jaw measures something more like 8-1/2 inches by 6-1/2 inches by 1-1/2 inches The diameter of a 9-inch diameter. The next size down is (4", which is funny since the next size down is 4"". Five inches") is absolutely tiny, and barely four inches wide. Anyway, these are pretty medicore clamps, not up to the quality of the Craftsman ones they're replacing (which have been gone for quite some time). I am not impressed with the quality of the clamp jaw, and overall it is average.
Honestly, I never saw the need for such a thing I didn't realize how I've been able to function without them until I tried them, and now I can't imagine living without them at all. Easy to use with one hand The transitions during the glue up and the layout process are all much faster. Thank you for the purchase. I am happy with it.
