Generally, they will not hold much torque, and will not be able to hold much weight. I found that the more I tightened, the more they bowed.
They are "economy" clamps, however I put them to the test bearing down on the pressure and you will get a bow on the bar if you go over what they can handle, as someone complained. However, they held up to it and after I let go of them, the bow had vanished. They are known for their economy, but still maintain the quality and durability of Bessey products. The only way to prevent that bow from appearing is by treating them properly or investing in the heavy-duty.
There are some negative aspects This is why I gave it a two star rating, once you look at the attached picture, you will see. The way it was packaged was unacceptable, so I thought I would let you know. The behavior is unforgivable. As luck would have it, UPS handled my package with care, so nothing was damaged or broken. Here are some of the good things I am very pleased with this product. It works great, does everything it says and is very precise. The quality is much better than I thought it would be.
This is a product I highly recommend!.
