I appreciate you asking the Taiwan is the country where Olmsted Forge products are manufactured.
I appreciate you asking the Despite the fact that steel is an alloy of iron and carbon, the blades of Olmsted Forge tools are made from high carbon steel. When it comes to the different types of steel, "High Carbon Steel" is defined as steel with a carbon content of greater than Five hundred percent. There is a significant difference in the composition of Stainless Steel from High Carbon Steel. Stainless Steel has chromium added to carbon steel's iron and carbon. high level of chromium in Stainless Steel confers upon it its resistance to corrosion and rust. However, Stainless Steel's corrosion resistance benefit comes at a cost. Stainless Steel is a softer This material does not possess the same structural rigidity and will not hold an edge nearly as well as carbon steel. Although High Carbon Steel blades are durable, they can stain and rust if not properly cared for. Cleaning and sanitizing blades after use should be done with a clean, dry cloth. Keeping your blades sharper for longer by wiping them down with mineral oil periodically is a good idea. High Carbon Steel blades might not look as shiny and they may need a little more care, but they will stay sharper for The best way to cut through tough dead branches is to use them steadily as they become stronger and sharper over time. It is possible for stainless steel blades to lose their shape after the blade edge is dulled if we cut thick branches with them.

Pruning saws have been around for me before, but not one that I used in good faith. Being so inexpensive, I found this to be a pleasant surprise. Cork is used for the grip and the holster is well designed and fits snugly. A good cut can be obtained from the saw. Since it is thin enough to have some lateral flexibility, it is convenient when you need to reach I can only praise this saw in the strongest terms.
During the first few months of use I had no complaints about this saw A joint on the handle snapped off It would be great if you could replace it.
It is an excellent saw for trimming small pieces of wood. The blade is sharp and easy to handle. I like how well the little sheath is made and the little sheath is also crazy now.
It cuts well, but I would suggest that the teeth could be outset a little more so that it is easier for the blade to follow.
The tool was absolutely perfect for cutting off small branches and a broomstick I had to cut in half. . . lol. Product of high quality.
All in all a good saw, but the belt sheath is not very comfortable and if you're serious about arboriculture and you're doing a lot of swinging and climbing, the saw will fall out so you must secure it more tightly.
There are very few moving parts, it is lightweight, it fits in the hand nicely, it helps beginners to get into handsawing, and it is inexpensive for the quality it provides. If they do make a next version, there needs to be a lanyard hole in the handle. I love the removable blade, but if they make one I would have loved a lanyard hole.
This is a good thing.
