Questions & Answers

The number of pieces is stated to be one in the description. However, the picture depicts a 12-pack. I'm trying to figure out how many I can get for $16. 55?

Good day, Elizabeth! 4 yellow, 4 orange, and 4 black gear ties were included in the package I received. It appears that Amazon's description needs to be updated.

What is the thickness of the twist tie?

I found the Gear Tie to be 6 inches long when I measured it at 32 inches long. 6mm or 0. The diameter, cross section, and thickness of the cross section are all 26 inches. Only the longer lengths are available, and they're all the same thickness. The 3" is likely to be as well. According to the Nite Ize website, the 6" long Gear Ties have a diameter of 3". 2mm or 0. 24". My measurements are nearly identical to theirs.

Can this product be used in the same way that a zip tie is used? I'd like to use the product instead of zip ties to secure a light deer fence to a post. ?

For a more permanent and stable hold, I'd go with zip ties. They hold up well, but I'm not sure they're the best choice for that application. Fencing may also reduce wear on the rubber coating over time. I'm not sure how well it'd hold up outside in the elements. For what you're doing, I'd recommend using steel wire and twisting it with pliers for a more secure hold. I hope this has been of assistance. Good luck

Is it possible to tie a light-colored tie with these ties? What is the weight of a beach chair on my back?

Please accept my sincere apologies if you have already read this. I bought a 20-pack of 6 inch, and those are the ones I was referring to (as in, not long enough). I'm not sure why Amazon inquired about the 32-inch models because I didn't purchase any of them. However, I believe the longer ones will work perfectly.

Better than Velcro Straps by a factor of 1000! In the garage, the guys in my house refuse to part with an abundance of incredibly long, nasty, gross, but perfectly functional and (theoretically) useful extension cords
5/5

For years, these things have driven me insane! I finally figured out how to put them away vertically (Elfa Easy Hang Tracks with Accessory Hooks- LOVE; LOVE LOVE LOVE; The problem of keeping them shaped in a way that made them "hangable" remained, however. " (Both in terms of function and my insatiable desire to make them look nice. ) ) I experimented with various ropes, wires, and Velcro straps (which I strongly advise against for a variety of reasons) before discovering silicone ties. I started with shorter ties (I had 6" ties on hand at the time). They did a fantastic job, but it took four of them to complete the task. The longest cables require six ties. I'm so glad I found them. These industrial sized cords are perfect for the 18" length! Only two of these babies keep the cords well shaped, as long as I wrap them well to begin with. They don't tangle, are simple to reshape, and provide a nice, firm grip in this size! In addition, I spent a significant amount of time looking for the best prices on high-quality ties, and I believe these are the best value for money. (For a pack of six multicolored 18" I paid $11 and change. ) br>br>In case you're staring at my photos and wondering what the hell is going on. On the larger cords, I still have a couple of Velcro straps. I haven't taken them off yet, so they're not really serving a purpose.

Ideal for MOVING, STORAGE, TRAVEL, and DAY-TO-DAY LIFE! I'm obsessed with organization, and I use these around the house and in my home office
5/5

I've tried everything, and I have to admit that the Velcro ones annoy the hell out of me. For a long time, I used black zip cable ties, but they irritated my husband because he likes to move our electronic items around, and they were always in the way. As a result, he was going to slash them. They'd have to go, and I'd be the one to take their place. They'd been slashed by him. They'd have to go, and I'd be the one to take their place. Let me warn you: it's a vicious cycle. br>br>I was interested to see how well these ties would work when I came across them. They're also spectacular. I'll update this review once I have one that breaks or "goes bad" on me-- However, I've been using them for about 6 months and have had no issues with them, no matter how many times I reuse/refold them. PROSbr>- br>br>- br>br>- br>br>- br>br>- I like how they can be used again and again. We take them off and put them back on all the time, as I previously stated. Alternatively, you can swap out the cords for new ones and they will continue to function normally.
- I'm in the middle of relocating, and these came in handy when I had to pack up all of my cords. I used the cable to tie them together, then labeled them.
- They're great for storing things: I have a lot of cables for both home and work that I keep tucked away until I need them. They keep my cable storage box neat and organized (I've attached cute labels to ensure I remember what each cable is) and make it quick and easy to grab a cable and throw it in my backpack on the go.
- I've had a lot of fun taking these with me on trips. Whether I use an electronic tote bag or a plastic baggie (depending on the length of my trip), these have proven to be extremely useful in preventing my cords from becoming tangled. I can also remove them and use the cable with the twist tie, or I can keep the twist tie in the bag and use it when returning the cable.
- Because they come in a variety of lengthsbr>- The black ones are my favorite because they blend in with the cables themselves. br>- They're great for keeping TV and media cables together so they can be coiled neatly behind the TV or hidden behind a wall panel. br>br>CONSbr>At this time, there aren't any.

They work well, but they are a little on the pricey side
4/5

The rubber twist ties from Nite Ize Gear Tie are excellent. I've ordered ties in a variety of sizes in the past; in addition to these 6" ties, they also come in 3" and 12" sizes, as well as longer lengths. I'd prefer if they came in 8" or 10" lengths, but I'll make do with what they have. These twist ties can be used for a variety of purposes around the house, in the office, and on the road. I primarily use them to secure the numerous electrical cords found in our bathroom (hair dryers, straighteners, curling irons, Waterpik, and so on). Rubber bands had previously been used, but they had always broken. The fact that they are made in the United States appeals to me. The only disadvantage is the cost, which quickly adds up if you have a lot of cords/cables. Regardless, I enjoy them and would recommend them.

Wire management is a favorite of ours
5/5

I bought a few 3in ones on the spur of the moment in a checkout aisle a few years ago and found them to be extremely useful. Those few stayed with me, but there came a time when I wanted to get more and use them more liberally throughout my apartment. My recommendation is to get at least the 6in ones because you can always wrap more wires around them. The 3in ones, on the other hand, may fall short on a bundle of wires that is just a little too big. As a result, I consider the 6in to be the winners. I also appreciate the fact that they are reusable and do not degrade over time. They're a close second to zip ties in terms of binding power, and they save you the trouble of having to cut zip ties off if something changes or needs to be adjusted in the future if you use them correctly.
