" It's the same way with our power company: Every now and then, they get it right in collaboration with the weather bureau. So, about three weeks ago, they predicted strong winds of up to 60 miles per hour, and they came close. On the valley floor, winds gusted to 25 miles per hour. To cut a long story short, I went to Amazon and typed "tree trunk woven tie" into the search bar. "I wanted it to be woven so that the tree's trunk and heavier branches would not be damaged. " I wanted it to be woven because it would be easier to tie. (I had just spent six hours pounding an eight-foot steel post into adobe soil last summer, but I knew I'd need something special to save this tree. ) ) I knew right away that this was what I was looking for when I saw it. It's a two-thirds of the way through. It's only an inch wide, but it's easy to tie because it's woven. In fact, around the thicker branches, I was able to tie six knots in four different places. The breeze blew in. It made a howling sound. The trunk of a five-foot planted box lifted a little. A friend who is an arborist (don't we all have one? ) estimated that the tree weighed around 1,800 pounds, and that we'd lose it if the three of us couldn't keep it stable. We didn't, to be sure. In fact, the ties were stronger and the tree was probably more stable the next morning than they had been in the previous ten years (even in the one year when we had over 300 pounds of tangelos - see below). Why is it that there are never any volunteers to pick the low-hanging fruit? br>br>I can't say enough good things about this product; before we start gardening next summer, I'll look up the company on Amazon to see what other products they have that might be useful on this massive quarter-acre plot. estate of over an acre!.

I wrapped it around a branch and tied the two ends to a stake for a small redbud tree. Because there were two ends rather than the single end I would use to tie a fishing line arbor knot, it was necessary to tie a slip knot in the end and then slide it tight against the first knot. (You can find good arbor knot instructions online. ) It's been good and tight for a month or so, even in strong winds. The green color is appealing to me because it blends in with the foliage rather than standing out like twine.

I bought it to secure some sagging trees. br>br>With my arms, I tied this tie line to a large pine and attempted to pull the tree up. The tie should be able to withstand 1,800 pounds of pressure. I consider myself to be fairly strong, but I seriously doubt I could pull the tree down with 1,800 pounds of force. With the force I could pull with just my arms, the line snapped.

We used this rope to tie out a tree today, replacing an older rope of a different type that had broken due to weathering, weed whackers, and hard pulling in strong winds. br>This rope isn't as wide as the previous one, but it appears to be sturdy and strong. Our only gripe so far is that the rope is extremely slick, necessitating a great deal of concentration when tying knots. We attempted to use a taut-knit fabric. We wanted to use a line hitch so we could adjust the tension on the rope over time, but the rope is so slick that the knot just slid down, forcing us to use other, non-traditional methods. knots are adjustable With that caveat in mind, the rope appears to be in good shape so far.

Near my house, there is a 30-foot river birch tree. The tree's common nature is that it has two limbs that grew from the tree's base. One was weak, and I was afraid it would break and damage our house if there was a strong wind from the west. Wind gusts of up to 60 mph are not uncommon in the Midwest. 75 mph. I chose this tree strap because it has a breaking strength of 1800 pounds and is simple to tie and secure with your favorite knots. I used two straps, one at 15 feet and the other at 8 feet, to secure the weak limb to the main tree. We recently had a storm with winds of 55 miles per hour, and I was unfazed. Some of my Vitek trees are "top heavy," requiring several years of tying down until the trunk and root system catch up. This item fulfills its purpose. I wrapped it around the trunk and through a metal ring on the other end to fit on a metal pin with holes so that I can adjust the strap as the tree grows by sticking a bent nail in the hole.

I had a tattered boat cover with a frayed rope. I decided to replace it before it broke down. I searched high and low for a thin flexible strap and found this product, which was simple to replace, flexible, and strong. It did, however, stretch a little further than I expected. I'd buy it again, but for this task, I'd look for something a little more durable (though it took me a long time to find it).

The tie strap performed flawlessly. The material is slick and difficult to tie, as other reviewers have said. I used the suggested bowline knot after looping the strap around the tree branch, and it worked great. On the other end, I used a tree strap, twice feeding it through the grommets, and then using the recommended double half-hitch. knot in a hitch I was able to tighten the strap while pulling up the branches before tightening the knot using this method. The pine tree has risen to its full height, ready for the next snowstorm.
