I'm working with two medium layers. One tie was not strong enough to hold the fabric, even with the weight interfacing and two layers of cotton. I used two of them by twisting them together. They're ideal for adult masks because they keep the fabric around the nose in place. For child masks, I simply trim them a little.
Have you ever opened a loaf of bread (or anything else) and misplaced or broken the small "thingy" on top that keeps the air out of the plastic bag? I would have started buying them a long time ago if I had known you could buy them. They are extremely effective. They arrived on time, and I keep the bag in my kitchen drawer where I can use it frequently.
There is a lot of cable in your home. Zip ties (also known as wire ties) are commonly used to keep them together. It'll work fine until you need to use the cable, at which point you'll have to cut it off. br>br>When I cut an extra iPhone cable with a zip tie, my wife said, "Why don't you use a bread bag tie?" We don't eat a lot of bread, so it worked out well. br>br>I went to Amazon, which has everything from A to Z, and found these. br>br>Excellent product that is simple to tighten and untighten. It was an excellent deal that made my life a little easier.
They aren't strong enough, in my opinion, to be used as mask nose wire. They're great for twist ties on packages, but the wire is too flexible to give the mask structure. And I'm not sure how long they'd last if they were bent and adjusted all the time. br>br>To be fair, they weren't sold with the intention of being used to make masks.
They appear to be sturdy and wide in the photo, similar to what you'd find in coffee bags. WARNING: These are just regular bread twist ties that everyone has in their junk drawer. The entire bundle is about the size of a dime, and it bends incredibly easily. They look as if they won't be able to withstand a bend. For $12. come on. That's completely absurd! Perhaps $3 is a good investment!.
It's ideal for organizing cables. I used to use zip ties to keep my cables organized, but these are far superior. Zip ties are a pain in the neck. They only work in one direction, you can't loosen them, you have to cut off the extra bit with scissors, and they're a pain to get rid of. Also, after 5-years, all of my zip ties began to brittle and snap. I've had a large barrel of zip ties for ten years, and they're practically worthless.
I've been sewing a pocket into the nose portion of homemade face masks and inserting a 4-inch long needle into it. a pipe cleaner, about an inch long It's possible to pinch it to make it fit your nose. I remove the pipe cleaner and use it to clean the mask before replacing it. br>These are well made and a good price; however, I wish there was a white option because my husband uses white ones to clean car parts. Because the black hides dirt, these are only suitable for crafts.
These were purchased to be used to seal individual Halloween bags. We didn't want to be too close to others because of the virus, but we still wanted to give the kids candy for trick or treating, so we filled bags with candy, tied them shut with these twist ties, and placed them on a table a few feet in front of us. We were safe, the kids got candy, and we were safe - This is exactly how it should be. The twist ties were both long-lasting and simple to apply. We'll buy them again without a doubt.
