Questions & Answers

I'm attempting to determine whether or not I can do this before purchasing it. The seller responded with a confusing explanation. Is it possible to watch a video of this?

I've never come across one before. Once you've removed the old sensor, things become much clearer. We send a photo of the wires and where they should go. If you connect it incorrectly and it "POPs," you return it to us for a replacement. This is how our one-year warranty operates.

Is it possible to use LED bulbs with this?

Yes. The LED bulbs that work with our OK Lighting touch sensor are available for purchase.

Is it possible to turn any metal lamp into a touch lamp by using this product in the base?

Yes. A "static" shield is formed around the lamp's metal by touch sensors. You must strictly adhere to the installation instructions or the sensor will be permanently damaged.

I got a shock two days after putting it on my lamp (static electricity?). When I touched the lamp, it made a strange noise. It no longer works. What's going on here?

Yes, the sensor was burned out due to "static electricity." The "ring" you attach to the metal frame (it's also known as a ground-plane) (It's not the case.) This "ground" wire creates a static shield around the entire lamp's metal. When you touch the lamp, the shield is broken, and current is sent up to the bulb by the sensor. There is no electricity in the lamp's frame at any point in time. Sensors do not wear out, but they can be damaged by lightning, power surges, or a static burst (when a bulb burns out). They can last anywhere from one day to twenty years (I sold some in the 1980s that are still in use today). That is why, when you purchase a sensor from Lifestyle Lighting, you will receive a one-year warranty.

He was extremely helpful in resolving a problem with my touch lamp
5/5

A touch lamp with three touch levels (low, medium, and high) is in my possession. It took some time to figure out, but the light bulb only needs to be a one-way, incandescent bulb that matches the wattage of the touch sensor inside the touch lamp. br>br>If only the light works, but not the touch levels, the problem in your touch lamp is the touch sensor, which this sensor is a perfect fix for, and it can be installed in minutes even if you have no technical knowledge.

There is no such thing as getting old
5/5

The first switch that was sent had a problem. br>When I contacted the vendor, he immediately sent me a replacement without asking any questions. br>More Amazon sellers like this one are needed. br>My 98-year-old customer is overjoyed because so many people told her her lovely light couldn't be fixed when it could- For less than $12, it can be fixed. Who'd have guessed? br> br>Thank you, whoever you are at this company, for making our customer so happy!.

It's that simple
5/5

It works, and I believe it is a good deal. It took me about 11 minutes to complete the installation. I was replacing a dead one that looked exactly like this one, so I went wire by wire; if you're doing the same, START WITH THE YELLOW WIRE!.

After 2 weeks, it finally gave up the ghost
3/5

Do not make a purchase. This was broken by a mild static electricity shock from my finger while I was lying in bed. After doing some research, it appears that this is a poor quality sympotmatic. br>I'm disappointed because disassembling my lamp was difficult, and the padding on the bottom was super glued back on, which I'll have to rip off. What a disaster.

It does the job, but it isn't particularly durable
3/5

For about 20 days, the touch switch worked perfectly, until I went to turn on my desk lamp and BOOM! The switch was also dead due to static. I'm going to replace it with one from Home Depot, which should last longer and handle some static better.

It was incredibly simple to set up!   Because this lovely lamp had stopped working, my sister wanted to dispose of it
5/5

I obviously liked the lamp and decided to do something to fix it so that I could keep it. It didn't take long to find information about the touch sensor and a possible cause of failure on the internet; So I order one from Amazon that appears to be the same brand as mine, replace the wires one by one according to the simple instructions, and. . . It has come to life!! This lamp is stunning. It even comes with a warranty in the event that it doesn't work or if the wires are connected incorrectly and the sensor is burned. This is a product that I wholeheartedly endorse.

It didn't work out. I had to go back. I found a replacement for a few dollars less at Menards.

My antique touch lamp was saved by a new sensor
5/5

This is how I was able to save my touch lamp. "Touch lamp won't turn off after one bulb burned out," I googled the issue. " The instructions for this sensor were fantastic. Even a handwritten note specifying which wires should be connected.
